  1. I remember when the Bills had "no intention of trading Stevie Johnson."
  2. Better than oversized LBs in the first. Like 2018
  3. I too would like to add Hopkins, I'm all about those boundary wideout in the modern NFL. But I must admit that the Bills did have a lot of success with Diggs and Beasley as their top two targets. And Shakir is not Beasley.
  4. You were doing so well, and then you mentioned a defensive player!
  5. It's not necessarily desperate, they're just playing the game. Standard stuff
  6. These positions hardly matter. Just give Josh Allen a bunch of stud skill position players to run n gun with and watch the postseason Ws pile up. IMO
  7. Welcome back
  8. So add the dummy years, the cap is going to be rising extravagantly. There are reports they're not trading for him but that doesn't mean they shouldn't be. At the same time I would not be the least bit surprised to learn that he prefers to play for the defending World Champions and their future HOF offensive coach.
  9. Likewise. Thanks for playing. The situation is not as dire as you're making it out to be. The Bills have been in contact with the Cardinals because they know it's possible to make it work. The cap tends to be flexible. Someone upthread said we can get him for a cap number of 4m this year. I don't know all the details because I find that part boring but there tends to be ways of making it work. For years the Saints were "over the cap" and still would go ahead and make significant additions.
  10. If the contract is an issue then they shouldn't have signed Poyer, they shouldn't have signed Klein, and if they had to make a cut or two then so be it. They've put trash talent around Josh Allen. It is more important to surround that young man with talent than it is to have the perfect defense that lets us down against KC/CIN anyway. The rules are set up for offense to win out and the Bills struggle against it rather than embracing it even while having the best quarterback in the world.
  11. If the contract is a problem then they shouldn't be adding useless defensive players, they should be gutting the defense. Just score a million points and get turnovers because Von Miller. Way better than what they've been doing using every offseason to try to be perfect on defense.
  12. This is so typical Two Bills Drive I have to wonder if it's a parody.
  13. He probably chose KC. They have an offense that's actually well-coached and they win Superbowls.
  14. The rules of the game have changed. Football as Jim played it is gone to the tide. Now you win by passing the ball and if you're good at it they just can't stop you. If you want to keep up with the best of the best it is imperative you take full advantage of pass defense and pass rush being made illegal. The Bills have Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs—they're close! They don't need to reinvent the wheel.
  15. That Erhardt Perkins connection
  16. What big acquisition have they made that you can say 'Well shucks, they shot their shot but this one just didn't work out. You can't have 'em all.' Could be a draft pick, a trade, a free agent. There's nothing like that on the ledger. You miss all the shots you don't take, right?
  17. My thing is why haven't they even tried to give Allen a second stud receiver before now? Bills management has been out to lunch for 3 years. One year okay, at some point it becomes an enormous failing and a fire-able offense.
  18. I don't even care if they have to gut the defense some. Just score a ton of points and you have Von Miller so you'll get some turnovers now and then. Like if money is the issue then they shouldn't have re-signed Poyer. They always overdo it with defense and leave Allen's weapons lacking as if they want to struggle and make sure other teams have a chance.
  19. They will not wait until after the draft. They'll want draft capital this year.
  20. Taiwan Jones. Just not a good football player, not heady and alert, terrible at tracking the football and keeping it out of the endzone. So rarely makes a play out there. And gunner is a fairly important job.
  21. The Bills are in a position of desperation at WR after neglecting it for 3 years. They have to gamble. They need immediate high-end production alongside Diggs, very unlikely you get that without assuming risk. I do not understand why this hasn't been a priority before now but here we are.
