  1. People can disagree with your evaluation, it doesn't mean there's hatred. I root for him and he's fun to watch, I just don't think he's all that good. Be a big boy and deal with it that not everyone agrees with you What he needs to overcome is his own shortcomings, not your imaginary hatred.
  2. I think you were right early last season when you told me D'Arnaud isn't good enoughl, good call. I gotta good feeling about this year, Gug. Let's go Mets!
  3. Funny, I just watched Page's speech and really enjoyed it, it meant a lot to him for sure.
  4. Thank you, driver. We have two drivers.
  5. Did he perform perfect dropbacks from center and other pro-style exploits? I think I remember the kid himself saying it was a chance to show off progress. The Bills being in attendance made me smile. It's possible Derm feels secure in his job for 3-4 years and wants to develop his own guy he can win big with. or a guy like Monos may have long-term vision and pound the table. Things have been tight-lipped around OBD lately, maybe they're playing coy on their QB interest. #graspingatstraws
  6. This is just not how successful football teams operate.
  7. That answers what the Bills do, he's asking what the folks here would do. I'd recognize him too
  8. Mahomes would really tie the room together.
  9. True. Their match in New Japan was really good.
  10. Oh thanks I hadn't seen that, I do hope he's on Raw and gets to be front and center on the A-show. I have to think we'll get Finn Sunday or Monday in that case. His entrance at WM would be a cool visual.
  11. That would be simply WONDERFUL! Yeeeeeeeeeesssssss... they did make the Raw Tag Title match a ladder match...! Really excited for Takeover, they always come through. Gonna be a heck of a show. Maybe Nakamura debuts Monday or Tuesday. The ring on top of the ring?
  12. All we can do. Go Bills Looking forward to those snarky comments tomorrow. Bring it TBD
  13. Yes that's what I'm saying, I don't like his answer. I don't mean that to say he owes me anything, of course he doesn't. But he gave an answer that, as I see it, outlines a draft process which is different from that in NE, Denver, Green Bay, Seattle, Baltimore, New Jersey (Giants) etc. If you ask Robert Kraft whether Bill Belichick has authority over the draft pick the answer is "yes," and of course collaboration is still involved. But there's a football guy with his finger on the button. Pegula was directly asked whether Whaley plays that role here, and again, balked at the notion.
  14. Right but who is doing the slanting? That's what he was asked, is it Whaley who ultimately decides, and he balked at the notion that it is Whaley. I can see we're just going to go around in circles though, think what you like, bud. I get the sense that the owners are still very much in the learning process. He did answer though
  15. What is the relevance of this post? I'm sharing my take on what the owner had to say, is that not the kind of thing this board is meant for?
  16. The owner was directly asked whether it is the GM and balked at the notion
  17. I'm sure they will act like adults. There seems to be a dangerous trend though Whaley puts candidates together and wants Hue Jackson, the owners fall in love with Rex Ryan, Whaley says sure I can roll with that too. The owners make the call. Whaley puts candidates together, the owners fall in love with Sean McDermott, Whaley wants to interview Steelers DC Keith Butler but says sure I can roll with McDermott. The owners make the call. Now the owner is asked directly whether Whaley has ultimate say over the draft pick, and the owner basically says 'we'll take the temperature of the room.' It seems like they haven't learned yet. I said this last night but again, Bill Polian takes any and every opportunity to talk about how important collaboration is, but he is the one who ultimately decides at the conclusion of the collaborative process. That doesn't mean Bill Polian was failing to act like an adult or refused to collaborate, but there needs to be a football person who makes the call at the end of the day. Concern seems to be warranted here
  18. My concern is that You in this scenario, that person who decides which way to lean, shouldn't be the owners. It should be a football person who does the weighing of everyone's opinion.
