They should have drafted Prescott in the 3rd or 4th round, and if that means no Ragland then it's worth it. That's not "drafting Prescott over Ragland" but it is making the conscious decision to prioritize QB and get the one your scouts like best.

Not that either but you're getting warmer.

I did not advocate trading up for Prescott.

Additionally Russ Wilson was drafted the same year Seattle signed Flynn.

They should have prioritized quarterback and gotten the one they had graded higher, reportedly Dak. The problem is not scouting, it's the passive approach to the most important position.

I'll put it this way.If we both GM'ed expansion teams and you insisted on only drafting QBs at the exact spot your scouts graded them, while I insisted on simply getting the quarterback my scouts like best, I am coming away with higher-graded prospects than you are. Assuming our scouting is equal I will logically find a FQB sooner than you will.

Fixed or adjusted to fit your perspective rather than mine? If you want a QB then get him. It's way more important to come out with your preferred QB prospect than to get "draft value" in my opinion because the importance of the position towers over everything else. I'd gladly trade 3 quality LBs for one quality QB. We screwed ourselves with the Ragland trade costing us our preferred quarterback.

What's more important, the QB you want or the Linebacker you want? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm I know I can work this out...

And now folks want to use another first round pick on a WR without having a QB in place who passes the ball well and can get the most of the talent around him. Another weapon to come in and underachieve just like Watkins and Clay will not turn this franchise around.

You're right that he went to the sideline too much and all the rest of it as far as I can see. It's a minor quibble but I'm telling you, dude almost always stays in the field of play and finishes the run even when along the sideline. I have to give Shady that, even when he messes up and costs us big chunks of yardage he at least finishes it fighting. I watch that because it's something that makes me crazy about Watkins, he goes OOB when there's more yardage to be had a whole lot more than McCoy does.

The idea that you take this more seriously than eball had me chucklin. The same eball that cried about it for 7 pages when I opined that Seantrel Henderson was not a good starter and therefore overrated, and told me it's impossible for a 7th round pick to be overrated even if now a starter. You should admit you were wrong and Shady finishes runs even when he goes to the sideline though, because you once said you ALWAYS admit when you're wrong I was wrong about Roman and Tyrod, thinking ya boy GR was significantly holding him back.
