  1. The Giants were in a position to rake us over the coals. We were worried our 2-year plan to trade talent and gain capital, including trading out of a chance to take Mahomes or Watson, had fallen apart and we were about to be locked out of a primo QB prospect. NYG could have extorted us.
  2. I love Burns but I don't think he's the prototype Beandermott look for.
  3. I'm thinking he would beat out Seantrel Henderson to start.
  4. I don't think it's a smokescreen, Gettleman really didn't sound like he's taking a QB in the 1st. They're actually going to try to win with Eli.
  5. Teller will be in an open competition with the likes of Feliciano and Boettger.
  6. Sure, if we can. I don't know whether the Jets would want to let us up there for a fair price.
  7. Core special teamer and a SAM. Similar to Lorenzo
  8. Get up for Quinnen if the Jets pass ?
  9. That is correct you win! That same dude that flamed out with 3 teams in 1 season
  10. Do you realize they put a 1st round tender on Corey Coleman for $4.4M? I'm glad I'm not a Giants fan.
  11. He's got some creativity after the catch too, far from just a run straight and get tackled type. He's not going to be just a deep threat
  12. I can see your perspective too, as always there are plenty of spots that can use an injection of young talent, though I do like the idea of adding special players rather than good players if that's the choice we're presented with. We don't necessarily need every single draft pick that we have, we've done a nice job of getting at least NFL calibre players mostly everywhere so can look for value. I'm open to staying put or even trading down too, we have a lot of flexibility in my opinion.
  13. "Gotta check the tap." McDermott is clapping out of pride right now.
  14. I feel like it's a hybrid between NE's underneath stuff with screens (which will be much more prominent with the improved OL), shallow crosses, rub routes, TE posts and the like...combined with this run-n-shoot inspired, deep-zone-floodin' vertical passing game we had some success with last year, to fit Allen better. Daboll seems super adaptable to me.
  15. When thebandit calls someone a phenomenal signing, we all go a little bat****. You'll have to excuse us
  16. I know there are other options at DT Alpha, but if Quinnen gets down to 5 or 6 and they feel he can have a Donald / Fletcher Cox / Chris Jones impact? Suppose you can get it done for a 3rd and a 2020 2nd, maybe a bit more...is it really so outlandish?
  17. I don't know the trade chart but I'd be down for two 3rds, this year and next. Maybe could be talked into #9 and #40 to move up if absolutely forced, though I'd like to find a way to keep 40. He is an elite prospect who perfectly fits what we need, a penetrator to **** some plays up from the 3-tech. I don't think Shanahan takes him at 2, the question to me is the Jets at 3. Don't think Gruden goes that way at 4, and I believe TB at 5 and NYG at 6 are both 3-4 teams, though he might fit in with the Giants.
  18. If Quinnen Williams gets down to 5 or 6 I wonder if we try to make a play. I'm not sure which team actually picks him if the Cards go with Kyler at 1.
