  1. I agree with all of this except I'm disappointed he would wait until now to do this
  2. Look at the thread NS, vast majority are assuming this is injuries and it's all the Colts' fault with bad O-lines, completely overlooking that both info men are saying this is his choice and he wants to pursue other things. I can hardly believe he would wait until now to do this and let down all the teammates and coaches counting on him when he could have done this months ago.
  3. Pretty crazy that Schefty and Rapsheet are both painting this as a Ricky Williams voluntary retirement rather than being forced out by injury. He had to do this 2 weeks before the season opener?
  4. Blitzing and pulling people out of coverage is better than having linemen who can win matchups? Tom Brady feasts on teams who are forced to blitz him. For any 4-3 team the defensive line is an excellent place to invest major assets IMO.
  5. Zay, Nsekhe and two 3rd round picks Wonder if we could cut another deal simultaneously and get a swing tackle from another team for Trent Murphy or Shaq
  6. Me too I'm like this dude is a mental ninja. I just thought I'd delete it, you had some good replies going and it seemed redundant
  7. While that's true, there wasn't even anything newsy about this one If ever I'm going to make a thread maybe I should just stop and assume Yolo's got it
  8. I started a thread on this but you beat me to it Yolo! Seems to me like Teller is done-zo, or else why would Boettger go in instead of him with Josh on the field and the need to protect him? None of the reasons given so far are very compelling. Seems Boettger has passed him
  9. If Duke Williams is a better blocker than Jason Croom then why would they keep Croom over him? Duke can play some specials and as Gunner alluded to, they have been using him almost like a tight end at times, lining him up in a tight slot position not far from the OT. I think if Kroft is on the PUP it opens the door for them to keep Duke as a sort of big receiver/TE hybrid. Croom has the "TE" label so it looks more normal on the depth chart to keep him but he can't really play in-line anyway. Duke may be the more useful player now and the player with more upside. I also thought Jordan Phillips had a good night to cap a nice preseason for him, he looks better than last year. He's working hard to get that money in the offseason and we're going to benefit for it...
  10. Oh I gave the laughing reaction because I thought he was making a good joke
  11. Wow this is going to be an interesting one. Lacey has come a really long way in a year, Alexander they like for specials, Stanford I've been thinking will make it to be safe at the Mike and Joseph has the upside. I thought they'd keep 7 but now 2 of those 4 have to go. I think Maurice Alexander is out but interested to see who the other is
  12. I think you're dead wrong about this. Daboll was so desperate for a pure blocking TE last year he used Dawkins and Sirles in the role. Then this offseason they're connected with multiple blockers, sign Jake Fisher, then pounce on Smith immediately when he becomes available. There is clearly a role for him in this offense, it's just not a flashy role that's going to grab headlines over the summer.
  13. OT and Punter are the only positions I could see them poaching another team's cut. OT depth is just lacking. Ford's development has gone a little more slowly than they'd originally hoped and Waddle was supposed to be the failsafe
  14. Makes a great deal more sense this way than Buffalo having exclusive rights even if they cut him. Yes he was allocated to the Bills but if they choose to release him and another club wants him on the 53, he should be fair game through waivers in my opinion. I'd still love to see clear confirmation one way or another
  15. Crowded LB room right now, there are about 9 guys who could conceivably make a roster
