  1. They're in trouble now with a mediocre QB counting for $36M on their cap, but when he was on a rookie deal that they capitalized on their window, went all-in and won the NFC. They're an example of the rewards of making bold choices when the opportunity to win is there. The precautionary part is don't pay Josh if he's not worth it
  2. He has 150 catches over the last 3 years and is good in pass pro-- Singletary is iffy in both those areas.
  3. I wouldn't think he'd be closed off to Buffalo, he went to both HS and college in Wisconsin.
  4. The controversy happened because neither was great. If Josh is the guy then there should be no problem with getting a decent backup.
  5. Two days ago did it seem to be Beane's MO to trade a 1st rounder and 3 more picks for a veteran WR who missed practice and showed up his QB this year? Countless people here said Beane won't do that, he'll stick to the process, he'll build through the draft. Reality is Beane is aware enough to know that the time for the Bills to go for it is now.
  6. I'd love to have him, I want to see them add a good pass-catching back for Josh-- Singletary is just ok there.
  7. What does that mean, "teams were expecting more cap space?" I believe the cap went up about $10m this year with the new CBA, about what it always does.
  8. Man that was fun to watch! Super physical, looks great in run support. I see good size/speed too
  9. It may be that the value at WR is 3rd or 4th round; so be it. With Diggs, Smoke and Beas around we're suddenly in a position to let our guy develop a year or two.
  10. That's the way to make the scene in LA, with a QB so scared to throw the ball he takes sacks by running out of bounds.
  11. If it is 4.5m you'd think we could find a partner. I'm not worried about the compensation, just very interesting that we can potentially offload that contract. The 5.2 dead next year isn't great, but workable.
  12. Now that is interesting. Any idea how much salary the other team would pick up?
  13. I remember reading That's how Woody Johnson wound up with the taco enthusiast.
  14. Looks like the other thread was merged, @Hapless Bills Fan @Chandler#81 can we get a pin? This d-line gonna be bigger and nastier
  15. How about I expected him to be able to hold the edge without constantly being pulled inside like it says "Kelsay" on his back? If you don't do much in the pass rush and you're unreliable in run D, habitually allowing running backs get around you for big gains down the sideline...it's no surprise that fans are hoping for an upgrade.
  16. Yup, I don't see a high-quality starter on the roster outside Ed Oliver.
  17. I wanted Reader bad but that's a massive contract.
