  1. The sky seems blue to us in our very limited perception of the electromagnetic spectrum. It is blue to us, but not in an objective sense. ?
  2. When I looked last night New England was the favorite with the sportsbooks-- if someone were to be right about Buffalo winning the AFCE they could cash in at 1.5-1.6x their wager amount. New England was down around -110. I actually do agree with your thesis here and was hoping for an upgrade at backup QB with all that cap room we came into the off-season with. Before it got started I was hoping Ryan Fitzpatrick might somehow shake loose, then I wanted your boy Flacco! Or Jameis. I have a degree of trust in the Bills' FO and coaches but I must admit I am unable to arrive at the same conclusion independently pertaining to why are they so comfortable with Matt Barkley.
  3. yeah end of half is definitely a spot he needs to be more aggressive, especially with Josh in year 3 throwing to a group like Diggs/Brown/Beasley/Knox/Moss. It's time to take off the training wheels. I think Derm knows this though, I really do.
  4. Or maybe we're not mature enough yet. When I imagine all of humankind as a single organism, I imagine us like a 4-year-old just barely come conscious, prone to emotional tirades, pointless destructive behavior and the like, and not caring properly for our brothers and sisters. It seems reasonable to hypothesize that when humankind is more mature, a system of government that did not work when we were an ignorant child could work when we are more emotionally/spiritually developed. After all we as individuals need different forms of guidance at different points in our life, so why not the same for us collectively? edit- come to think of it, this is Sean McDermott's "growth mindset" taken to its logical conclusion. It's about seeing things as in process, or developing, rather than fixed.
  5. There goes that theory of Trump being the great whistleblower for the people to bring about disclosure? At the end you can see him squirm because he knows he's just as powerless as the Presidents who came before him, system is too big. We somehow need a President who doesn't fear for their life or their family's lives or it's going to have to happen without support from the oval office, seems to me.
  6. Was it founded on individual liberty or did we just get sick of the King taking all the money we made off the backs of slaves...?
  7. Simms outperformed Brees in year 2 of their careers, then lost his spleen early the following season. You can make assumptions about hypotheticals if you like.
  8. Anyone saying Chris Simms does anything for attention, views, clicks, or to put out a hot take knows nothing about the guy and is therefore talking about a subject despite lacking any knowledge of it Of course football opinions will differ but those statements are flat out incorrect and quite obviously ill-informed, anyone who has paid attention to his stuff over the years knows this. The guy is laughably out of touch with social media and couldn't care less if his stuff upsets people, he just likes watching film and talking ball. Not every analyst you disagree with is automatically on a "hot take"
  9. Bad year and hes out. This is a huge year for him. I feel good about his chances though
  10. Looks like lots of us are about to be surprised when Moss gets more carries.
  11. Josh's game winner to Brown back shoulder against the Jets
  12. Its supposed to be a strong corner draft, I'm good with taking one of them. We could use a good cost-controlled guy opposite Tre White's monster contract. A rookie competing with a guy like Norman is a good situation. Voted Damon Arnette (whose name is spelled wrong in the poll)
  13. A whole night seems way too long at the opening of FA when 32 teams are frantically trying to improve their roster, even an hour is a long time to just sit on offers. Sanders is a very good player but he's not a superstar. Seems strange to me
  14. What did he need to think about? A night is a long time at the opening of FA. Do ya thing Beane
  15. I'm thinking edge in the 1st round next year. kicking the can down the road allows us this year to go something like RD2 corner, RD3 receiver, RD4 halfback
  16. Honestly I don't think Brown and Beasley are that great after the catch. Excited to have a guy like Diggs who excels that way
  17. Marlowe is probably the primary backup / 3rd safety as of today. Neal is a corner
