  1. Oliver was far more active/explosive than he was the last few weeks, he got his knee brace off this week and you can see hes getting healthier. Of course I know folks are mad right now
  2. Ed had a good game, he got his knee brace off this week and is coming on. Addison js a good player too
  3. We're gonna beat them in the playoffs!
  4. I'm not sure the Colts did either but I think its a fair question to ask.
  5. I'm not sure why you're so focused on this, Hap, is it not fair to ask whether they're nasty enough? Tony Dungy's Colts defenses always fielded questions about their being a "finesse" defense.
  6. Simms made similar comments in a game review a couple weeks ago, 'on 1st down the offense knows they're in cover 3. Against a 2x2 set, the offense knows they're in palms (coverage).' It's up to McDermott to self scout, add wrinkles and break tendencies. We see offensive coaches forced to do this and grow from it, Sean McVay a good example.
  7. He got outrun by Derek f'ing Carr, something is not right.
  8. That's not Ahmed, it's Paul Bermeister. Good stuff thanks for posting! I wonder if Derm and Frazier can learn a bit about disguising from watching Vrabel. I know we already disguise fairly well.
  9. The Star Lotulelei thing is getting way over-played, the interior run D looks about the same as it did the last 2 years. The problem tonight was can't cover anyone, and losing outside contain.
  10. I think a lesson to take from Allen is that if a kid has never ever received good quarterback coaching going back to his childhood then there might be some room to mold him.
  11. In summation, Wednesday is the latest Tennessee can open and still play the game Sunday. So with their being clean Monday, it all comes down to tomorrow's results. If clean tomorrow they'll open Wednesday and play Sunday as scheduled, if there is a positive tomorrow the game must be postponed or forfeited. If they postpone to next Monday night like they did tonight's Pats/Chiefs game, they'll have to also postpone the Bills/Chiefs TNF next week because the Bills will not be asked to play Monday and again on Thursday.
  12. Is a forfeit not being talked about at all? So if you strategically would like to play a team later in the season rather than now, maybe due to injuries, get some of your guys some covid.
  13. Vernon Butler is coming on, looked good yesterday.
  14. He went for 8 and a half per pass attempt, with cluster injuries in their secondary they shouldn't be able to run with our skill position personnel and if somehow they do then there should be checkdowns to backs and TEs to keep us on schedule. the run game was not working as well as the pass game and I felt we were giving downs away. jmo
  15. If its the shoulder then how are they calling a QB sneak on 1st & goal? doesn't line up.
  16. I love Dabes but thought we ran the ball too much today. on 1st down in particular. They had cluster injuries in the secondary and Josh went for a hair under 8.5 ypa, and we're wasting plays running ineffectually. Maybe they were afraid of #17 taking more hits? But a QB sneak on a 1st down at the goal line doesn't line up with that. Feels amazing to be 4-0 though
  17. I hope not, it's a desirable job in almost every way, we should be able to get a strong, proven candidate.
  18. Could well be gone, any thoughts on Dirk Koetter? Most interesting guy I've been able to think of.
  19. I say watch on regular TV, Sean McDermott doesn't coach conservatively and neither should you; play fearless.
  20. Best reporter working the NFL on TV this morning.
  21. Somehow Franchise mode is worse than it was 15 years ago. For this reason I'm not buying this year.
  22. Brian Dabollical out here with inventiveness in the ground game
  23. https://www.sharpfootballstats.com/personnel-grouping-frequency.html Through 2 weeks they're still in 11 73% of plays, good for 4th(t) in the league. It's good they're mixing in 12 in an effort to protect their 3-wide sets they really want to run. Listening to Simms break down their Eagles film, they've added to their runnjng game which used to just be inside/outside zone and jet sweeps, now they're running some toss crack, pulling guards and trap plays mixed in. He says both weeks they've killed their opponent with PA pass that looks like a run because they pull a guard and the OL sells it; that should be bog standard for McDermott's crew, they practice against Daboll who does that all the time. Maybe I'm over confident in Sean McDermott but I feel the Rams' changes will ***** up some lesser coordinators but he is going to diagnose it and put his guys in position for a big bounce-back game.
