  1. I am pumped for this game! Compelling stuff on a few different levels. I think the network will be happy.
  2. Greg Thompsett of Cover 1 talking about multiple RPOs where the pass option was a WR screen to Beasley for an easy 9 yards. I hope they don't scale that back.
  3. Exactly. What basis is there for anyone to claim it with confidence?
  4. shifting helps identify coverages, some have thought we actually didn't do enough of it vs. KC. What's wrong with the formations and the schemes?
  5. So any time the offense doesn't work it's always going to be because it's too complex with no real reason to think that's the cause.
  6. Interesting. I think it might be an overreaction to Detroit getting 2 straight wins over bad football teams, and if Darius Leonard can get back it's a big boost for Indy. Colts do lack receiving weapons though no question.
  7. It's vague what exactly you're calling for other than more running plays and less RPOs...if that's all you got then 'Run The Ball More' would have "reduced the complexity" of your thread title.
  8. I jumped on Colts-2.5 @ DET and it's already moved to 3. Wonder if it keeps moving? Packers were -7.5 vs. MIN when I looked an hour ago and it's all the way down to 6.5, sharps seem to love Minny but why? I'm a little tempted by GB at 6.5.
  9. That first catch by Lockett on the deep one whoooa boy
  10. To beat soft zones you throw underneath and get YAC. For that to happen Josh has to give up on a big gain EARLY in the rep because the ball has to come out quickly. It goes against everything in him but he's starting to understand why it's necessary. Mahomes has gone through this to an extent this season too, but he's Mahomes and he's ahead in his development and quick to adapt so it's not quite as pronounced, but the teams that gave him trouble played soft coverage starting with the Chargers playing Seattle Cover 3 and then others copied/adapted the Chargers film. Bills/Chiefs was a battle of two teams with the same game plan, they each knew they'd face soft zones and each tried to run but KC was better able to execute against our poor front seven effort.
  11. Josh started to figure it out in Q3, Dabes is getting him there.
  12. He has good passing concepts that put defenders into stress about which man to choose, probably had something to do with it. Last year the book on Josh was cover zero, this year they can beat man so the book is play soft zone and force Josh to throw on time underneath and have the patience to take it. He's figuring it out, the light went on in the 3rd quarter. Josh is still evolving.
  13. Davis and Kroft both streaked downfield wide open in the game. This is actually something he excels at
  14. It's Kyle Shanahan, they run on everybody
  15. should have blown the play dead, Oliver made contact with the guard
  16. He played a little, namely at the end of the drive. Might be on a pitch count?
  17. Ok what does any of that have to do with the post you quoted?
  18. What arrogance? Stating what I'd like to see. Not convinced it will happen. Good teams beat up bad teams, if you can't do that you're probably not that good.
  19. I want to see a blowout. Analytically, beating up bad teams is what good teams do. Its okay to lose to the Chiefs by 9 points, make some corrections for round 2 in January, fine. But if we're being predictive it's a red flag if we have to squeak by a Jets team in obvious tank mode with a lame duck HC.
  20. He looks bad to me. Some of the panic about the team is overblown but I really do think Tremaine is struggling big time.
