  1. Why would we draft two recievers when we'll have Roscoe and Reed in non-starting roles if we draft one?
  2. Yeah, and if they based points on how many yards you accumulate, that might actually matter. Last year, I saw a defense that stayed in several games last year in which the offense could contribute next to nothing all day long. I'd say they were an above average defensive unit, and thats WITHOUT Poz, Simpson, Crowell for a time, Ellison for a time, Denney, Stroud and Kawika.
  3. You're all perfectly correct, but you can't draft a first round pick just to keep your starter sharp at every position. Heading into a draft, you have to actually evaluate what you have, and decide where you need the help. You really have no choice but to answer the question, "Should Greer be starting, or shouldn't he?" There's no sitting on the fence here...
  4. Nothing, other than being the display name this Mets fan chose.
  5. The whole bit is explained pretty well in post 14. Its meant as a shot at a certain segment of the board.
  6. In that case, grab him, and try not to f*ck him up this time.
  7. I've always seen that as kind of a rib at the Losman-bashing crowd...like you gave up on Losman quickly, so why not give up on Edwards too? Hyperbole, sort of.
  8. I have trouble thinking of positions I'd be LESS likely to draft in the 1st than cornerback...I'd prefer quarterback, running back, certainly safety...probably the only ones behind CB would be tackle, guard and linebacker. Really just don't see what a rookie cornerback is capable of adding to this team.
  9. Hey! He labors through typing 'GO BILLS!!!' in every post instead of just putting it in his sig. He's CLEARLY a more dedicated fan than the rest of us.
  10. He gets 7 starts to show which way his career will go? If that isn't "throwing Edwards under the bus," I'm not sure what is. We've already ruined one young quarterback with our lack of patience, lets try to learn something from that.
  11. Why are we not exploring trades for Chad Johnson? Can you imagine our offense with him and Evans. I might actually get excited for next year. Worth our first rounder.
  12. So Solomon Wilcotts and Rich Gannon have been lying to me all this time!?
  13. Why is everyone in such a rush with this guy? I recall him having the "project" label when we drafted him. His career is a whole 2 years deep. Why is everyone rushing to cut him? What is the problem with having him linger at the bottom of the depth chart for another year (or dare I say another two years ) to see if he pans out?
  14. I wonder if I was the only one worried that Chris Jericho got injured...
  15. Exactly. Its cleary Russ Brandon's fault we took Thomas Smith and Jeff Burris.
  16. While I would much rather have Keith Rivers or Derek Harvey who are much worthier of #11 and would really help down rhe road, I think at this point it will be Limas Sweed due to need.
  17. James is a very solid pick-up. I have seen him play many times. Remember what R. Moss did to our small corners. It's time to start thinking about matching up with the pats. One of my goals is to actually beat them in "08. Toward that end, I think Derek Harvey would be a very interesting pick.
  18. To those following this year's draft more closely than I: what are the possibilities a safety gets picked as high as #11 this year? -There have been some rumors of the Bills considering finding a new strong safety and moving Whitner to free safety. Ko is young, unproven and coming off a big injury. Therefore, we could possibly be open to drafting either safety position. -Its well-documented that the safety position is more emphasized in the Cover/Tampa 2 than in other systems. -We now have 3 rock solid cornerbacks, plus a youngster with upside, 2 of which have pretty good size. I can't see us going corner unless the braintrust is absolutely in love with somebody. I'd be open to getting a playmaker roaming around back there. With our zone scheme hopefully benefitting from an improved pass rush, quality safeties could have opportunities to snag some turnovers. This team has eliminated most of it's truly dire needs. WRs can be had in the 2nd round. My first choice is currently DE Derrick Harvey, but safety is another intriguing possibility. How does this year's draft class look?
  19. It may not seem like it, but this is a 100% serious question. What kind of offense do the Bills want to run? You seem to have an idea, and through watching every game last year and following the team as closely as most here, I really haven't a clue.
  20. Completely agree. There's 32 teams in the league, and the Bills are covered just as much as their fellow middle-of-the-pack teams. Don't really know what the original poster is expecting...when the Bills make a transaction, they're talked about...when they go on a winning streak, they're talked about. If they were to start winning again, they'd be talked about, just like Cleveland was last year. Don't blame the entire network for Marshall Faulk having no qualms about throwing his opinions out there without actually having any knowledge of the team.
  21. I really hope this doesn't result in McGee being replaced as the return man. Then again, people said Josh Scobey was a good return man, and that didn't turn out so well.
  22. The touchdown he had against Denver was impressive as well...he got stood up around the 2 if I recall, and still fought his way in.
  23. The Bills have honestly done a great job in the personnel department the last few years, and the list of positions they need to upgrade is shrinking. That spot Kelsay and Denney occupy is one of the weaker starting positions on the team.
  24. Surely you meant abstain in the subtitle, as opposed to sustain.
