  1. Great point, especially with Derrick Dockery lining up next to him and DT Rocky Bernard out of their line up. We could have some great matchups on the left side of the line in the running game.
  2. Because this is the first year that I have high expectations for this team, and I understand that its quite possible the ball just won't bounce our way this time. Jauron has done more with less in two seasons running, so one bad year isn't going to wipe that out. As long as things aren't a disaster he gets another year to prove himself. One disappointing season just doesn't wipe out the general positive feeling I have about where this team is headed.
  3. Because the actual play-to-play calls, Jauron delegates to his offensive coordinator. Are you aware of this? You know Fairchild was calling the plays? When Jauron had decisions he himself made, the facts don't suggest an overly conservative approach. Last year's Bills had the 11th most 4th down attempts, despite ranking 27th in time of possession. Thats more risks taken with less opportunities to take them.
  4. Yeah Beerball, I've got all those channels listed. "Upcoming: Seahawks @ Bills" listed on 710.
  5. The 3-4 didn't suit him because he couldn't play in the middle. He can't play in the middle here either. What has Bowen done to earn a starting position? We need to go LB in the draft in rounds 1 or 2.
  6. BUMP WOOOOOOO LETS GO BILLS
  7. His contract doesn't expire for 3 years. I'd hope we could get an extension done before then, and make the franchise tag irrelevant. Hell, here I am hoping we can get something done in the next calendar year. We'll see I guess.
  8. You mean they'll franchise him 3 years from now?
  9. Also, you're not going out on a limb very much when you predict that quarterbacks will get hurt. Most of 'em do at one time or another.
  10. 10-team league, I was picking on the turn and Lynch was one of my 1st two picks. Then I got Evans and Dwayne Bowe together with my 5th and 6th picks to round out the WRs, so I don't know if you'd call him the WR2 or the WR3. Bills defense is definitely on my radar, especially after the first two weeks when the schedule softens up.
  11. The best way to run nowadays is to use your short/intermediate routes to loosen up defenses to get your back some room. I hope Turk is willing to come out throwing, and that Edwards is up to the task. JMO.
  12. Really great stuff. You can till this is one of the few national guys who really does his research and knows his sh-- when it comes to these 4 teams. Any national guy who knows the names John DiGorgio and Keith Ellison is okay in my book. A whole lot of Bills coverage, probably more about us than any other team. If you've got some time on your hands take a look. Here's the highlight to me:
  13. Okay, but you weren't only defending Peters. You've been simultaneously defending Peters, and attacking Bills management for not caving into his demands and giving him a new contract. You were wrong. I distinctly remember one instance where another poster expressed interest in maintaining a good relationship with Peters throughout the holdout process, and you responded to that post by saying something along the lines of "its too late for that." I'm too lazy to find the post among all your drivel, but if you insist, I will. You were wrong about that too. You said over and over again it was in the Bills best interest to cave in and give Peters whatever contract he's been asking for. Yet, by holding firm, Buffalo has gotten what they wanted: Peters playing football in 2008 under his current contract. You said this tactic wasn't in our best interest. So, if you truly believe "neither side lost much of anything," then you have a king-sized portion of crow sitting in front of you. Because you've been insinuating for about a month and a half that the Bills had quite a bit to lose by standing firm. Just be gracious, take your bow, and admit some of your attacks were misguided.
  14. So we cut him, and tell another team that if they sign 'em, we'll throw them a 6th rounder for him.
  15. Your post looks kinda familiar
  16. I'll bet you he's cheered more than ever the first time he's announced at a home game.
  17. I wouldn't sleep on Nate Burleson. He had 9 TDs and a 13.9 yards-per-catch average last year. We're capable of shutting him down, but he's also capable of beating us. Lets home its the former.
  18. The point is that he has to play one more year under his current deal just as well as he played last year...in other words, if he is to be paid like one of the 2-3 best linemen in the league, he must play like one of the best linemen in the league. From his perspective, an awful lot is hinging on his level of play this year. If it were you, would you want every chance you can get to know the new playbook like the back of your hand, be in the best shape you'v ever been in your life, have the maximum amount of chemistry with your teammates you could possibly have, and take reps in the preseason to shake off the offseason rust...or would you want to avoid as much as speaking to your offensive coordinator until a day before the opener, having not lined up and taken a snap for about 10 months? Can Peters overcome these things? Yeah, he's a great athlete, and he's capable of it. But he's made things harder for himself than they needed to be, and he's gained little to nothing from it. Lets see if he comes out and earns the big bucks he's been after.
  19. Matt Murphy, but it won't be tonight. It'll be shortly before the Jacksonville game.
  20. You know you love every second of it.
  21. I'm more interested in hearing from The Senator.
