  1. So in other words, he didn't put up big numbers, and you're assuming the reason for that is specifically that he doesn't have a good set of hands? You've repeated this theory over and over again without anything to back it up. I don't ever remember hearing that he dropped a lot of passes.
  2. Night and day? Its only the difference between Tim Anderson and Marcus Stroud, E. Don't get carried away.
  3. People have been saying we need an end because neither Kelsay nor Denney are proven pass rushers, but I have a feeling Kelsay will have a good year and silence some of those people.
  4. I liked the way FOX focused on the linemen matchups, repeatedly showing what happened between Schobel/Jones or Kerney/Chambers after the play. You don't get that kind of coverage on CBS.
  5. Standard scoring: 1 point every 25 passing yards, 1 point every 10 rushing yards, 4 points for passing TDs and 6 for rushing TDs. Jay Cutler VS. San Diego, or Kurt Warner VS. Miami? Cutler had a good one against Oakland last week, but this is a HUGE divisional game for Denver, and he's shown a tendency to falter when they really need him. He'll be facing a solid Chargers defense...while on the surface Delhomme's 247-yard, 1 touchdown game against them in week 1 looks good, it took him 41 attempts to do it...he only completed 56%, and only had 6.0 yards per attempt. He'll get Brandon Marshall back on the field for this one. Warner faces a garbage defense, at home, who Favre made easy work of in week 1. Warner was also one of the highest-scoring quarterbacks in the league down the stretch last year, and had a solid game against a solid pass defense week 1. I'm actually leaning toward Warner, because Cutler seems a bit hit-or-miss to me. Help!
  6. Johnson didn't dress last week. I meant the 5 who were active last week will most likely continue to dress.
  7. Well Jenkins is one of the gunners, so they pretty much have to dress all 5 recievers.
  8. In the Steelers preseason game, he had a run of about 22 yards on a play that started from his own goal line, and I was shocked as to how well he can move. Observing that play, I'd actually say his top-end speed is better than Losman's. This is a guy who CAN make plays with his feet, so lets hope he develops a sense for when to take off as time goes on. Oh, and its good to have ya back Deano.
  9. Nobody! 'Why So Serious?' is 1-0, baby. Lets hope Ochocinco and Shockey can get it going, then we'll be clicking on all cylinders.
  10. 1. The Jags are more desperate for a win than they were last week. 2. That game was in Tennessee. This one's in their house. 3. Our quarterback has made 10 career starts. 4. We don't have a strong run blocking line. I don't know if I'm 'sweating it' but I'm definitely preparing myself for a slow-moving, boring affair. Hopefully we can edge them out.
  11. Right, but I don't know how much our offense will be able to do against a defense most expect to be one of the league's best, in their house. Whether Peters is in the lineup or not, I expect their defensive front to be able to hold the LOS and control Lynch and Jackson, meaning a lot falls onto Edwards' shoulders. This could be a low-scoring, ugly affair. It should be a close game, and it should be a good one.
  12. Absolutely. I wholeheartedly agree. His decision to holdout cost everyone, including himself, the coaches, his teammates and the fans. But its over with. I hated the holdout, and I'm thrilled that management stood firm with him throughout the process and showed him this team is bigger than Jason Peters. But if Jason is willing to work hard and get back to knocking over two defenders on one play, we should welcome him back with open arms. He's a tremendous athlete, and the best case scenario for this team is Jason Peters happy and locked up long-term. That scenario seems to be well within reach, so I hope we won't mess that up out of spite. I'll probably be there week 3, and even as someone who repeatedly said we shouldn't cave in to his demands during the holdout and that this team could still win games without him, I will be cheering my ass off when he's announced. With the team winning week 1, I'm willing to forgive the guy. Go Bills!!!
  13. I still think if you said that to my face, I'd make sure you never made that mistake again. Keep flexing your e-penis, buddy. Thank you. We don't get enough of that around here. Funny, I gave up on him at the exact same time. He got himself another start due to Edwards' injury, and it came on the road against a great team in a game that would have been a HUGE boost to our playoff chances. This was the biggest game of his career: a good game and a win could have gotten him the job back for good. And I think he even said something during the week in admission that it was a big game for him personally. And he completely laid an egg. One of the worst games of his career. Thats when I said, "Thats it. Lets see what the other kid's got."
  14. There was no celebrating anything. This was just supposed to be one fan talking to a select group of his fellow fans. But forget that idea. Its a shame everyone here is so conditioned to break out the tar and feathers everytime they see 'Losman' and 'Edwards' in the same sentence. Don't really understand the backlash I got here. Whatever, lets just enjoy being undefeated.
  15. Too soon, huh? Ah well. Maybe people will be able to mention the name Losman with reason rather than emotion once he's off the roster.
  16. How do the words "I can honestly say I was wrong about that one" equate to "I told you so"?
  17. And here come the cynics to ruin what should have been a mature discussion...
  18. When Losman got hurt last year, and DJ decided to bench him based on 2 poor games after a pretty solid 2006 season, and one decent performance from Edwards against the Jests...I know I wasn't the only one flinging my excrement around. I believed in Losman after '06, and I didn't have much reason to believe in Edwards. Couldn't believe Jauron made that call to bench him for a ROOKIE after 2 bad games. So right in the middle of the feel-good mood around here about where this team is headed with Edwards, I ask those of you who agreed (and as I recall it was more than half of us)...how do you feel about it now? If you could go back in time and change Jauron's decision, would you? I can honestly say I was wrong about that one, and I'd leave it as is. Do others agree?
  19. My god do I love hearing talk like this around here. I'm so sick of 'Vet, keepthefaith, 1bills and the rest of the cynics!
  20. In that case, why the f*ck are you here again? Johnny, I'm with you 100%. If this were Peyton Manning we were talking about, things would be different...but I'm THRILLED with this news, and nobody's lectures are going to change that. Brady and Belichick have had this coming to them for YEARS.
  21. I think you have your cause and effect backwards there...
  22. Its great to know Chambers is an adequate fill-in after the debacle we saw from him last year, but he will never be the athlete Peters is.
