  1. If the ball is out of his hands in less than 2 seconds 75% of the time, how will blitzing more help? If he's getting rid of the ball that quickly and completing passes, it means we're just not covering anyone, simple as that.
  2. No doubt about it, if we don't get this pass rush issue fixed, we are in serious trouble. The C2 zone will fall apart without pressure from those horses up front. It seemed like we dropped into that base Tampa 2 in this game a lot more than the 4 previous weeks...I suppose thats because they anticipated a downfield passing game. But at some point, you have to scrap the zone, stop giving away those cushions on the outside and try playing some bump and run. Maybe a lack of confidence in the man-to-man coverage abilites of Youboty/McKelvin at this point in their careers stopped them from doing that. If thats the case, it may have also scared them away from blitzing a whole lot. McGee may be more important to Fewell's schemes than previously acknowledged. With he and Greer on the outside, Youboty in the slot and McKelvin on the bench, the D is far better situated to change it up.
  3. I didn't forget Chyna. But I did forget current WWE Women's Champion Beth Phoenix who is billed each week as being from Buffalo, New York.
  4. No. Because I don't want my team to ever say they're out of a game when there's more than a quarter left to play.
  5. Candice Michelle is far from the hottest wrestling gal Stephanie McMahon Lita Maria Kanellis Victoria Torrie Wilson Stacy Keibler Christy Hemme
  6. I am THRILLED you're not in that locker room.
  7. Four pages, and you're the only one to claim Royal was down without a doubt. Since you didn't say when Royal was down, I'll backtrack a bit. "Nothing ever hits the ground: the shin/knee amazingly never find turf, and then he's completely on top of the defender afterward, which is NOT down by contact. Then he swings his arm around and drops the ball before the arm hits the ground." Which part of that do you dispute? Because after watching the play far more times than I should have, I'm absolutely convinced that sentence is 100% accurate.
  8. Good thread, the Dead are fantastic. At the moment, Loser is probably my favorite song, but its always changing.
  9. Thats true also. Although you fixed something that wasn't broken.
  10. I missed the birth of the porcelain dolls thing. Any chance you could go over that again, teacher?
  11. Right. But compared to all the other #1 TEs in the league, he ranks as a poor reciever. Simon is correct in that his primary task is to block, but thats probably caused by his limited game.
  12. Really? You don't think Walker has played well? Thats kind of a bummer.
  13. I agree. My point was that saying Royal is good at his primary task doesn't necessarily mean you're saying he's a good player. The only reason why Royal's 'primary job' is not to make plays in the passing game is because he's incapable of consistently making plays in the passing game.
  14. I hear you, but would you say blocking is Antonio Gates' primary job? Kellen Winslow? Jason Witten? Your primary job is ultimately going to be to do whatever you're best at. If all you can do is block, then thats what you're going to be asked to do. Every tight end needs to be a competent blocker, but some tight ends are able to make a bigger impact than that.
  15. Is he good at blocking because he wants to focus on his primary job, or is blocking his primary job because its the only thing he's good at?
  16. I think I saw that too. It was a touchdown, right? I want to say it was Reggie Wayne, but I can't be sure.
  17. Lets get another defensive lineman round 1. Kelsay, Denney and Kyle Williams work hard, but I'm sick to death of not having a pass rush.
  18. Exactly. Give Warner and the rest of that offense credit for a job well done today. Its easy to say we should have blitzed more, but does anyone remember a blitz actually working? Most of the time Warner would read it and get the football out of his hands to the tune of first down yardage.
  19. Ah good point, you have my apologies. That was meant to be addressed towards Dan.
  20. Exactly. He throws the ball down before the arm comes all the way around, maybe instinctually to break his fall. His hand is empty by the time it touches down. You could be right, but I thought it was pretty clear the shin never quite hit, Dan.
  21. I'm gonna take another look at it later tonight, but after watching all those replays the network showed and then rewinding it during the commercial, I never saw anything hit turf. Are you referring to when he swings his arm through the air like an idiot, just before he lost it? Or something before that? And Bluefire, to say Jauron didn't challenge the play because he "gave up on the team" is just ridiculous. He was shown on the sideline frantically conversing with his guy upstairs to get the word. The only argument that can be made against DJ here, which plenty have made, is that the play was big enough that it was worth a shot at getting it reversed even against long odds. I can understand that viewpoint, even though when I personally watch the play I just don't see any way we get the call, and would rather keep the extra timeout in our back pocket.
