  1. Report: Nuggets send Iverson to Pistons for Billups, McDyess Interesting. AI doesn't exactly fit the prototype I associate with Detroit. I saw some fantasy writer say he's been going through the motions, knowing he'd be traded soon, fwiw. I think its a good idea for Detroit to change things up.
  2. Is the book on Fine that he's fast for a tight end? Or just mediocre speed?
  3. If DJ takes the "heat" for losing 3 out of 4, how much credit will you, BillsVet, give him for owning a 5-3 record? Somehow, I think it will be very little.
  4. And I'm off to watch the Knicks hopefully give me some silver lining here. Enjoy the rest of your weekend.
  5. It isn't the venting that has me up in arms, its the insulting of those of us who decide to go about this in a different, more optimistic way. "I'm sure you will have your fair amount of ooober homers that will sing that tune. They will be the same ones that IF the Bills lose against NE, will say "at least we're still above .500". The fact is, it's absolutely disgusting that this team has dropped 3 out of 4 games. Two of them, (Miami and NYJ) were teams that won a COMBINED 5 games last season. But some fans have the rose colored glasses permanently attached to their faces. They will go down singing that ever optimistic tune, just like the band on the Titanic. "
  6. I think the point is that you don't have the right to insult those of us who decide to remain optimistic about something we've become so emotionally tied to. Aren't we all "oober homers?" If you weren't an uber-Bills fan, what the hell are you doing on this board?
  7. No, instead it'll be overrun with "this was a lousy gameplan" and "this team is still a year away" threads.
  8. I would've thought a #1 reciever is anyone who lands in the top 32 in the league.
  9. Always had a thing for Courtney Cox. Better-looking than Jennifer Anniston, imo.
  10. I was dead-set against the idea of taking a first round corner both before the draft and since the draft, and if you need, I can provide multiple links to prove that. Additionally, it seems pretty clear that McKelvin in particular just is not ready.
  11. Man, I could have used you guys when half the board was trying to tell me we must draft a cornerback in the 1st round because Greer can't hold his own.
  12. No, it'll be one when the actual ball-hawks are on the field, not Clueless McKelvin.
  13. I hardly expect the secondary to "make its mark" when two of our top three cornerbacks are either out or ineffective due to injury.
  14. I find Michelle Monaghan attractive. Probably best-known as Tom Cruise's love interest in MI3.
  15. The premier was hilarious tonight. "You have a company to run; its called GE." "Actually its just G now, I sold the E. Samsung bought it, they're Samesung now."
  16. This isn't true at all, we've actually used it quite a bit the last few weeks, and I'm relatively certain we've used it for at least a few plays in each game this year. As someone else said, as an example, Lynch's TD against San Diego was off of a lead block from Freddy, and they ran the same exact play not long before that. It hasn't been used as a full-time package for an entire series, as the original poster said. I don't remember that being the case the first two weeks either YOOO, but if you say they did, I'll take your word for it. I think right now the best thing they can do is make Freddy the #3 reciever. He seems to be the guy most able to fill the void left by Reed, which is a bigger one than a lot of people realize. Somebody said they shouldn't line him up in the slot...why not? He's done that plenty this year, and is probably a significantly better all-around WR right now than either Roscoe or Hardy.
  17. Can we not use mock drafts as actual references, HA? Pat Kirwan is hardly better than Mayock, who had Whitner going #8 to the Bills.
  18. Link "An offensive coordinator typically refers to the coach on a American football team who is in charge of the offense. Generally, along with his defensive counterpart, he represents the second level of command structure after the head coach. The offensive coordinator is generally in charge of managing all offensive players and assistant coaches, of designing specific offensive plays, of developing a general offensive game plan, and of calling the plays for the offense during the game. An offensive coordinator typically has a number of assistant coaches working under him; usually coaches are primarily responsible for the various offensive positions on the team (such as offensive line, quarterbacks, or wide receivers)." If he's pass happy, he became that way only when he designated a new offensive coordinator. Jauron allows his coordinator to do as he wishes with the playcalling, and I daresay he has done so during his entire tenure with the Bills.
  19. Say hello to YOUR 1st place New York Knicks. We played three quarters of spectacular ball, and then nearly turned a blowout win into a ridiculous defeat late. D'Antoni was seriously pissed, and after calling a timeout at one point, I believe had to walk away from the team because he couldn't handle himself. Still, 1-0 is 1-0, and thats a talented roster we beat. I'll tell you, this team is going to be fun to watch. This system is so different than what we've seen here of late. We're going to run, we're going to shoot threes, we're going to move the ball around...imagine actually enjoying a Knicks game, rather than forcing yourself to sit through it. I'm actually hopeful for 40-45 wins and one of the last playoff spots. We'll see...Isiah ---> D'Antoni instantly makes us markedly better. You have every reason to be excited about Philly...if I have to call the NBA Finals today with a gun to my head, give me Lakers/Sixers. Thats quite a foresome they've put together with the other AI, Brand and Dalembert inside, and 'Dre Miller to distribute. Agreed regarding Boston. Its tough to bring the same fire you had when you won the title when your roster hasn't had any turnover. If Houston can stay healthy, I'm intrigued by what they've got there. Come playoff time, there may be no better matchup for a Kobe Bryant than Artest. Yao and McGrady must stay on the court. Apparently, Oden is out once again, this time for 2-4 weeks. Will we ever again see that same player who went 1st overall?
