  1. Again, it doesn't matter if he wants to come here. He doesn't want to go ANYWHERE other than Miami. He isn't getting what he wants.
  2. He WANTED to go to Miami, but that isn't happening. So he's taking some time to explore his options.
  3. If he didn't want to come here, he wouldn't have visited.
  4. Why does someone need to go? Keeping 7 recievers is hardly unheard of.
  5. Is it your belief that spending big money on an individual player in free agency is almost always a mistake?
  6. Additionally, he still hasn't seen fit to report the Hangartner signing in his blog, though Dan Orlovsky joining the Texans has made the cut.
  7. Schefter made that report when he had no idea Coles was visiting Buffalo, even though anyone on this board could have told him so. Schefter usually gets the scoop, but he seems a bit outta the loop wrt this story.
  8. I think they're just a couple of days behind, and are reporting what we've heard already. Rotoworld also just posted that we re-signed Hamdan and Dustin Fox, which is old news.
  9. Whats a bit frustrating to me is that they're considered the frontrunner, but I'm not even sure if they're the least bit interested in him! As far as we know to this point, the Dolphins' interest is just outside speculation. To my knowledge (and someone please correct me if I'm wrong), there still has not been a single report that Miami has as much as placed a phone call. The Bills still may be running a one-horse race here.
  10. If we get Kendall Simmons as well, I'm with you. But I can't accept that gaping hole at Guard and call this a success.
  11. Nobody the Bills will cut this year could have more of an effect than Parrish does. Cutting him is foolish.
  12. Tell me if I'm underestimating Scheffler, but I would not give up a 2nd rounder. He's not Owen Daniels. A 3rd or lower, and I'm all for it. He's sure handed and he'd make things easier on Edwards.
  13. By all accounts, no. I haven't even seen word that the Dolphins are the slightest bit interested in Coles, just that it would be a perfect match. On the flip side, I'm sure he is interested in them...
  14. I'm so sick of hearing about Steve Johnson. I'm high on the guy too, but its all potential, no achievements. Counting on the guy to start is the height of absurdity.
  15. Can't argue with any of that, but none of it has any bearing on whether or not he's an upgrade on the field.
  16. Josh Reed was born to play slot reciever. With Hardy out, Steve Johnson and Roscoe Parrish are our only options on the outside. You really don't think a guy who averages 900 yards a season is a significant upgrade over Roscoe Parrish?
  17. I trust you're only referencing 2008, a season in which Simmons only played 4 games before falling to the achilles injury and being replace by an undrafted rookie. When I said the Steelers' line has been consistently good, I meant they've been such over the duration of Simmons' 7-year career.
  18. I can understand not wanting to spend that kind of money on him, as he's got to be getting up there in years. People keep saying some players aren't going to get what they're expecting due to the economy...lets hope Birk is one of those guys. The above is from the early evening last night, in case you missed it, they also gave updates on Coles, Hangy and Simmons. http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2009/2/27/...coles-fitzpatri
  19. Kendall Simmons also happens to be a former 1st round pick who started 80 games over the first 7 seasons of his career for a consistently good Steelers offensive line.
