  1. Didn't Kawika play the strong side with the Giants?
  2. Thats exactly the way I feel. For being only 6 days into free agency, we've dealt with too many disappointments. Just throw us a god damn bone here.
  3. No problem. edit- bb.com story added to the OP, by the way.
  4. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1...78-dceec932a1cf yup yup edit- and here's his interview
  5. And it would've been great if we got him for $6M a year, but INSANITY if it was $7M!!!
  6. I wouldn't mind Galloway. He and Evans on the outside, Reed and Fine/rookie TE work the middle. He wouldn't be the can't-miss, picture perfect fit Coles would've been. But its better than risking the season on a 7th round sophomore because he made two nice plays.
  7. I'm with you, marauder. Jackson is better in my eyes as well. There are things Lynch does better, and they are very close, but Jackson has a better all-around game. He's more explosive and a better reciever. Better vision and "moves" as well. Both guys are very good, and deserve to be feature backs.
  8. I don't think we're trading him for a reciever, considering that we've had visits with three recievers. That part of the theory doesn't make much sense.
  9. Just look at the free agents we're signing. We're bringing in LBs and RBs by the bunches, and seem pretty committed to bringing in veterans at WR and LG. That means DE and TE are left for the draft. That simple.
  10. Galloway visited New England earlier. If he's got enough left in the tank for Belichick, he's got enough for me. As someone just said, he's just a year removed from his 1000 yard days. I'm incredibly bitter about missing out on Coles and this will not change that, but we need to acquire SOME alternative to Steve Johnson in case he isn't ready for this, and Galloway seems as good an option as any.
  11. That does make sense, but I think the thread title is worded strangely. The "general feeling on TSW is that no matter what we do, the Bills suck." Yet most individual members of TSW feel the opposite...that we'd get better if we could only fix A, B and C.
  12. Its just too much of a gamble to start a 7th round sophomore based on two plays. Anybody can make two plays and still be a bust. I'm high on Johnson, too. I think he's going to be a player. But I'm not willing to bet the 2009 Bills' offense that he'll put it all together this season.
  13. I don't think so. From what I've seen, he just is not THAT good. Somewhere between Ellison and Crowell...in other words, just another guy. Buffalo gave up their last hope of getting a significant impact with a free agent when they let Coles get away.
  14. Which is why I don't understand Senator's point. I don't think you actually believe the Bills will suck no matter what. If they fired Jauron and signed a deal with Shanahan or Cowher tomorrow, would you still have no hope? Personally, I think a lot of our problems stem from the quarterback position. If the Bills got Peyton Manning tomorrow in a trade, I'd be downright ecstatic about our chances this year. I think its true that no matter what Buffalo does, there will be SOMEONE on here who is still pessimistic...thats because there's so many people on here, you're bound to have at least a few who don't see Bill Cowher and Peyton Manning as enough...maybe they want Julius Peppers instead. But I do think most of us have something that could get us excited about 2009. Here we are arguing about what that something should be, and thats without Cowher, Manning or Peppers being in play. The problem with the Bills' approach is they refuse to throw you a fuggin bone once in awhile, so it gets tough to be optimistic. Obviously there are no Cowhers, Mannings or Peppers' coming any time soon. Hell, we can't even pay the going rate for Laveraneus freakin' Coles.
  15. I just get a little tired of people speaking in absolutes on here so much. Way too often you see words like "guarantee," "it won't happen," "forget it," and so on. I don't know why people can't use terms like "probably," or "I don't think that..." or "there doesn't seem to be much of a chance that..." Its not all Malta, so I guess I shouldn't have attacked him specifically like that.
  16. Cato June Meets the Media Video interview on bb.com
  17. So why did you say on either Friday or Saturday (can't remember) that you'd "heard 'things' that Coles [would] sign with Miami by the end of the night?" Why did you, two seperate times (in that same Friday/Saturday period, either way well before noon on Tuesday when Buffalo alledgedly pulled their offer) guarantee that Coles would not be a Bill? According to the account you gave above, all you knew at that time was (a) what the rest of us knew, and additionally (b) that Buffalo had made the only offer to Coles. With that information, why wouldn't you look at the Bills as a favorite to land him, or at least digress that they had, at minimum, a slim chance? It just seems like you made some big assumptions with the info you had, but were eventually bailed out.
  18. Whats even more ridiculous is they not only say we signed a "backup" in Hangy, but also that we let go of a "starter" in Puke Preston, as if Preston to Hangy is some kind of downgrade.
  19. No. That seems illogical. If you're taking one side of an argument, it follows that you believe that course of action is beneficial, in other words, it won't suck. Seems like all you're really pointing out is that people on here disagree, which is obvious and inevitable. But what they're disagreeing on is how to not suck.
  20. Thats perfect to me, as soon as you show me the OTHER 31-year-old WR on the market who averages 900 yards a season and excels in the exact role we're seeking: intermediate passing routes. No, the Bills will go into the season with a 7th round sophomore with 10 career catches as their best hope to fill a starting WR position.
