  1. First of all, nobody keeps 10 linemen, so I wouldn't expect people to be able to name 5 backups. Thats going pretty deep into the camp fodder. Secondly, there is absolutely nothing wrong with Seth McKinnie being a team's best backup lineman. He always starts at least a few games for whatever team he is on, so we aren't the first team to have him in that roll.
  2. Would this be that comedy you were talking about?
  3. Ron Jaworski once said about Reggie Bush, "He's a satellite, so New Orleans needs to get him into space."
  4. Do you mean Tyson Jackson as a DT? With our 4-3 zone scheme, the ends are ideally speed rushers, which he is not. He seems a much better fit as a 3-4 DE than as anything else.
  5. I strongly feel the first 4-6 picks are out of bounds for trades. Nobody wants to put together the package it takes to get up that high AND pay the ridiculous salary to boot. Teams would rather let Stafford go and try to make a play for Sanchez down around the #8 slot.
  6. This guy probably made a bet that he could start a rumor without even saying where it came from or responding at all, and the thread would go over a certain amount of pages. And he'll probably win, too.
  7. Are you certain they were offered the 21st pick? I could have missed it, but I only remember hearing they were offered #28 and a 3rd rounder, but instead (foolishly) opted for #28 and a 4th and 6th.
  8. Tom Donahoe: "We're going to draft football players." Yeah. Thanks Tom. Its equally illuminating when pundits tell us a guy is a "football player." I'm so glad they can deduce this from hours of film study. "He needs to work on his hand punch." That can not be legal. "He's got good hip swivel." I like to think Jessica Biel has good hip swivel. "He can make all the throws." No complaints, I just like it. "He's got good closing speed." Uh, why not just say he can run real fast? "Perennial overachiever." At some point, would you not raise your expectations a bit to compensate for his achievements? And of course, being a Bills fan, I vomit in my mouth a little every time I hear "high motor."
  9. This is ridiculous. We've got all these needs and we're begging people to take our draft picks.
  10. Wow. He seriously edited the thread title and first post so he wouldn't look like a baffoon. It didn't work, mind you.
  11. Apparently, Denver is "in discussions," trying to move up for Sanchez. They pick 12th and 18th. Unfortunately, Sanchez will probably go #8 or higher. I'm holding out hope that someone (Broncos, Skins or Jets) will fall in love with Josh Freeman and we can pick up an extra pick without even moving back very far.
  12. Just saw it on The Bottom Line. The Giants pick 29th, so the compensation would be high. But there's a lot of players we'd have to give up on by moving back that far, obviously.
  13. Although I like the optimism, this is the definition of grasping at straws.
  14. If I remember correctly, Chambers was re-signed before the free agency period began, and therefore never hit the market and was ineligible to talk to other teams. Edit: Yeah, here's a Tim Graham report on the signing from before the start of free agency.
  15. Buffalo's White Knight? Be sure to take notice when The Doctor of Football talks O-line, its a nice opportunity to learn a thing or two! And welcome, Heart Throb. Nice to have an optimist aboard to help keep things in perspective when things go wrong.
  16. You guys saying we need a tackle, I don't get it. Our situations at guard and d-end are much worse off than OT...
