  1. You're the second one to do this, I'm not sure where this is coming from. Maybe just alotta love for Youboty. But Drayton Florence is and has always been a cornerback.
  2. lmao Yeah that AJ Smith guy had zero input whatsoever.
  3. I hope he comes back. Watching Brett Favre play this game has always been a pleasure...nothings changed.
  4. Yeah I fckin hate Bruschi, mostly 'cause of that night game we had against the Pats* where he was just coming back, and I had to sit there and listen to the announcers suck the guy off for three and a half hours.
  5. Missed the boat not signing Keiaho. Our run defense completely unadressed this offseason.
  6. Is it legal for a lineman to wear a number in the 50s? 'Cause I read in a remarkably well-written story that Jauron said he's definitely a defensive end.
  7. So why exactly did Jauron not want people to know Butler was moving to tackle? Belichick would've known as soon as we hit the preseason, so whats the difference?
  8. I'm definitely concerned about it. The 4-3 zone defense asks its defensive linemen, tackles included, to penetrate the line and be active and disruptive. Williams, Johnson and McCargo just don't fit the bill. We've had to put off addressing this spot because we've had bigger needs, but I'm really hoping at draft time next year they're thinking about a DT in the first.
  9. Wouldn't you think this is just a package they'll go to a few times a game, rather than installing it as the full-time offense? A way to change the pace of the game and keep the D off balance.
  10. Do many coaches win with abysmal line play on both sides of the football? Is that not what Jauron has had each year, in Buffalo? Regarding Dan's post though Cynic, I like to think a good measuring stick of when a Jauron supporter has gone a bit overboard is when even I read their post and think, "Now wait just a second..." There's some good stuff in there Dan, but its unfair to say someone either isn't a Bills fan or doesn't know the game if they disagree. I get the point; the aftermath of this draft should be an optimistic time for Bills fans, and its strange to think that other fans aren't in that spirit, but instead use that energy on pessimism. I take the same optimistic approach to Bills that you do, I can make that out clearly. But you have to understand that after how many years of failure and disappointment, some fans will look at this thing differently. Being a fan just means different things to different people.
  11. Uh...no. In addition to San Jose's post, I remember Jaws pointing out during the Cleveland game that he had open guys all over the field and wasn't getting them the ball. The kid was fantastic in the first 6 games last year, but equally as bad in most of the others. People always want to make excuses, its Jauron, its Schonert, its the receivers, its the line, and on and on. But far too often last year, the protection held up, and our guys were open but nothing came their way. This is squarely on the quarterback; he's got to get better. There's really nothing wrong with a quarterback being imperfect and inconsistent at this point in his career. But this season, surrounded by all these weapons and a solid interior O-line, its time for the light to click. But I don't want to hear about coaching if he's dropping back and standing around like he doesn't know the playcall, like I've seen far too often. We all know he's capable of being a good quarterback; its time to put it all together.
  12. This is intriguing, because my understanding is that Kawika Mitchell has been the guy used in this role for us. Kawika Mitchell is nowhere close to the speed rusher that Maybin is. We've needed a guy like him in this scheme for a long time.
  13. Love this post. I would stop short of calling him a top 5 coach in the NFL, but the man is an excellent quiet leader. His teams almost always look prepared and motivated on gameday. The personnel this year looks far better than its been during his time in Buffalo, and the host of young players he's been forced to play now have some experience. Bottom line, I'm expecting at least 9 wins, and the only way we don't get there is if Edwards lets us all down. JMO
  14. You guys might've noticed already, but you've got a typo there, Tim.
  15. I used to work at an Old Country Buffet (not sure if you guys have em up in WNY), and we ran out of fried chicken one day. As the cashier I was the one who had to give people who already paid their refunds and tell the people who first came into the restaurant what the deal was. I'll tell ya, you do NOT want to be the person telling paying customers they can't have their fried chicken. "Y'all aint got no fried chicken? What am I here for? What kinda place is this?" etc etc. The manager took plenty of it too, but as the cashier/greeter I probably took the brunt of it. I'll never forget this African American woman who yelled at the top of here lungs, "What! No fried chicken!?" Everyone in the place turned to look. Those Popeye's customers are a lot like the people I dealt with. Looks like those employees were able to bail, though. I have an uncle who heard the story, and he still asks me where the fried chicken's at every time I see him.
  16. I agree with every word. This does not conflict with my point: Dick Jauron should get credit when the team plays well, because it means he did a good job that week. You can't just say, "Dick Jauron is a bad head coach, so any success the Bills have will be in spite of him." Thats not reality. He'll make good moves and he'll make mistakes, just like every coach in the league. We just have to hope the mistakes don't come in situations where they overshadow what the coaches and players are doing well-- like the Losman rollout call against the Jets.
  17. While this is true, and I am worried, I personally feel that anyone who isn't excited about his upside is equally crazy.
