  1. Did they? I don't remember them as much as commenting on Peters...
  2. I've given up on the guy, but even so, this can only be a good thing. Here's to hoping he proves we haters wrong.
  3. Not at all...what does Peters have to do with this year's offensive line?
  4. What is the fetish with Levi Jones? I don't even think he's as good as either Walker or Butler, who have both been damn good the last couple years.
  5. Personally I like the dark blues, and while the throwbacks are awesome, I prefer them a couple times a year. Makes it seem like more of a special occasion.
  6. San Jose is right, I bet the guys will never let him forget it. Until he gets cut, of course.
  7. This is the guy who said the Bills were interested in Owens a good day before we found out he was visiting, and everybody said he was nuts. I'd trust what he has to say. We probably all agree this can only be good news.
  8. I'm a fan of Rutgers, but never thought Leonard would make much of a pro, and still don't. He's not athletic enough to play HB in the NFL.
  9. We're not even sure he's as good as the players we already have. What is there to get so excited about...
  10. As long as we don't give him a contract that makes us hesitant to cut him, I can't complain with giving him a chance. But honestly I wouldn't expect him to be one of our five best linemen.
  11. I do sometimes like to get my morning started with a good beating, but it usually isn't dead horses.
  12. I'm really hoping to see an improvement out of Poz this year. Last year of course was his first coming off a major injury, and he played alright for a guy with so little experience. But the run defense really needs him to step up IMO. I'm looking for some more impact plays, like tackles behind the line. And hopefully he'll stop over-running the play and punish some ballcarriers. We need him to take care of business in the middle, and maybe become a bit of an emotional leader at some point. Its natural for the guy calling the plays to set the tone, and if he can raise his level of play, he can be that guy.
  13. If he can reach his potential, probably everyone not named Stroud. Why not give him that chance? Its not like we'd be guaranteeing him $10 million. There's nothing to lose here.
  14. Oh, and that Gator thing fans do with their arms is ridiculous. Fck that. Almost as crappy as the tomahawk chop at Turner Field.
  15. The Heat are the worst of the bunch. I can't convey the hatred I had for that team when they and the Knicks were brawling during playoff games.
  16. Great post, matter. This is why you're seeing such an emphasis on "character" these days. Teams realize they need to try to get inside the heads of these athletic, high risk/high reward-type players. They need to take an educated guess at which ones have the dedication and attitude necessary to better learn their position in order to be successful at the next level. Some guys, like John McCargo, will never fully dedicate themselves to their craft and will never sniff at the potential that their athleticism gives them. Figuring out which guys have the right mindset for the job is an extremely difficult task, I'd imagine, but its more important than an extra couple tenths of a second on the stopwatch. Lets hope that, mentally, Aaron Maybin has what it takes. We know he has the measurables.
  17. People who root for sports franchises in the state of Florida should be banned.
  18. DT has to be number one priority, we've gotta get someone more athletic next to Stroud.
