  1. Its almost like........he's........INSIDE YOUR HEAD!
  2. Whats the point of 'opening up a roster spot.' So we can keep a sixth safety or a fourth tight end or a second fullback? This is the same thing I used to hear about Roscoe, we should trade him because he's "not worth a roster spot." A roster spot in itself has no value, and it can only be used to carry an extra bubble player (which usually means a special teamer).
  3. I heard we hired someone named Chloe O'Brian awhile back, so I'm not really concerned.
  4. They all also have better numbers than Knowshawn Moreno...it doesn't mean they're better backs.
  5. Don't bother, DieHard. You've already been labeled a "Trent hater," and your file has been locked away. Case closed. The Wall has passed judgment. Now we can conveniently ignore anything you have to say about the quarterback position.
  6. I agree, though she insists on writing about how ugly and weird she is week after week.
  7. Definitely, but he was talking about Jack trading something in order to get them to inject him with antidote. I can't see them writing Jack that way.
  8. Thing is, you know Jack would never agree to help the terrorists to save himself.
  9. I like Action Jackson. It rhymes, its a positive, rolls off the tongue. I don't see whats so terrible about it. Thats what I'm gonna call him regardless. Guess I'm a moron poster.
  10. When I think of the people who constantly annoy me on here with their negativity, Kelly is pretty far down the list.
  11. In general, its better for the team to have money, then to not have money. They could wind up spending the extra coin on another Robert Royal or Larry Tripplett, true. Or it could be another Terrell Owens or Marcus Stroud...or re-signing the next Lee Evans (Edwards and McGee come to mind). But regardless of their skill at picking out veterans, the more money they have to work with, the better. As for the cap, I don't think its been about the salary cap for a long time for Buffalo...its about the physical money. They cry poor because they legit don't have nearly the income bigger markets have, so we should be happy when they save a nickel here or there to go towards the next signing bonus. And as MRW points out, there's a big difference between Freddy and Jason Peters, age being the biggest. Can you imagine the rest of the league salivating at the idea of Freddy hitting the market so they can give him one of the biggest RB contracts in the league? That was part of the problem with Jason...he knew there were at least a couple of teams out there ready to outbid the Bills and make him a very rich man. But I think that whatever the league is prepared to pay Jackson, the Bills are going to be ready to match it, so I wouldn't be afraid of the idea of him holding out a couple of years down the road. But even so, I think he'll always be seen as a part-time running back, and combine that with his age, and this contract is close enough to his value that the odds of him holding out don't seem to be very high. It would take quite a bit for the league-wide perception of him to change enough to make a holdout worthwhile for him.
  12. They're still as complete a team as anyone else in the NL, I think. Last I looked they had Matt Kemp batting 7th, thats a pretty deep lineup. Then they've got a young ace who'll be known as one of the best in a couple years' time, a closer you could say the same for, and a solid rotation 2-4. Still a good club...they'll need Manny back for the stretch run, and they'll get him.
  13. If Marshawn (or someone in his camp) does have it trademarked, they may be getting around it by printing 'Beastmode' rather than 'Beast Mode.' Either way, this means war, it does. I'll get on the horn and make sure Johan Santana and the boys take care of those latte-drinkin' pansies next week.
  14. You say this as if its something to be angry about. The less they spend on this guy, the more they can spend on the next guy. Personally, I'm smiling at the fact that we just got a tremendous player a wee bit below market value...all of us should be. JMO
  15. JP had his moments in '06, and even had me believing, so he gets my vote. I don't have many fond memories of RJ, but I might be biased in that as we didn't have Sunday Ticket in those years.
  16. All you really need to do to get over with Bills fans is google search for some of the old Bills legends, then drop their names on the air. We can't help but eat it up.

  18. Week 1 Mon, Sep 14 @ New England Patriots* - Loss Week 2 Sun, Sep 20 Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Win Week 3 Sun, Sep 27 New Orleans Saints - Loss Week 4 Sun, Oct 04 @ Miami Dolphins - Win Week 5 Sun, Oct 11 Cleveland Browns - Win Week 6 Sun, Oct 18 @ New York Jets - Loss Week 7 Sun, Oct 25 @ Carolina Panthers - Win Week 8 Sun, Nov 01 Houston Texans - Win Week 9 Sun, Nov 08 BYE Week 10 Sun, Nov 15 @ Tennessee Titans - Loss Week 11 Sun, Nov 22 @ Jacksonville Jaguars - Loss Week 12 Sun, Nov 29 Miami Dolphins - Win Week 13 Thu, Dec 03 New York Jets (Toronto) - Win Week 14 Sun, Dec 13 @ Kansas City Chiefs - Win Week 15 Sun, Dec 20 New England Patriots* Win Week 16 Sun, Dec 27 @ Atlanta Falcons - Loss Week 17 Sun, Jan 03 Indianapolis Colts - Loss Threw in some curveballs, like losing at home to New Orleans yet winning in Carolina, just because you get some unexpected results every year. Not every team will be what you expect them to be now, and even if they are, teams don't play at the same level every single week. In typical Bills fashion, we have our share of ups and downs...start off 0-1 and 1-2, then take 4 out of 5 and go into the bye at 5-3. Then we drop to 5-5, then, as usual, get everyone's hopes up with a second-half surge, winning 4 in a row to reach 9-5...then drop two heartbreaking losses to miss out on the tourney, and finish up 9-7. At least we'll sweep the Fish, and split with the Patties*.
  19. Blake Costanzo is an underrated STer as well, he's always around the ballcarrier. I'd bet money they keep him, probably on Bobby April's word.
  20. I am not gonna start with this one. You're either just trying to stir the pot, or you're denying to yourself how good these guys are, for whatever reason...you don't want to blame Edwards if things don't go right, you want Steve Johnson to get playing time, you don't want to get your hopes up because Buffalo has let you down too many times, whatever. If this is your honest opinion, that Steve Breaston and Jerricho Cotchery are the equivalent of Terrell Owens and Lee Evans, you just aren't seeing the issue clearly.
