  1. Nix and Gailey have shown nothing to date. 4-12 last year and this year's roster looks awful. However the problems start at the top with an old man giving up on spending what is necessary to win.
  2. We can't sign a tackle because we have to protect the budding stars that are Erik Pears and Mansfield Wrotto. The logic is undeniable.
  3. That roughing on Batten was !@#$ing ridiculous, he hit the QB just as he was releasing it and didnt get him anywhere near the head. These roughing calls leaguewide are gonna continue to infuriate me this year I can see!
  4. Bell doesn't belong in a starting lineup. If Levitre is capable of holding up at tackle I wouldn't hesitate
  5. Just called up, told them I've been with them for 10 years and can't get HD in my area and we're considering dropping them for the optimum triple play. Said I wanted the Ticket for free, along with a $45 monthly charge for HBO, Starz, Cinemax and Sports package taken off. They came back with free ticket and reduced that charge to $18.50 for 6 months and I had her throw in Ticket To Go for good measure! It's definitely worth the time. Right away tell the automated system that you're calling to cancel your service, that gets you talking to the right person. Thanks to those who have posted about this in the past! Go Bills
  6. I as well. Interesting to see how he can perform under one of the top 43 schemers in Fox Completely agree with those saying there's no need for Merriman to play. If he's healthy, he's an animal, just keep him that way. Our pass rush could suffer with him out, so much of it falls on K-Weezy and Dareus in the middle. We'll see if Carrington steps up Kelly the Dog is right about Andra Davis, this guy was all over the field last week. Can he play that way all year? Looks big for a linebacker, capable of shedding and always knew where he was supposed to be. I'll be watching Rinehart closely tonight, intrigued to see if we have a real player on our hands or if it's a battle of nobodies. Gotta continue monitoring the Tackles too. I'm hoping Gailey gives different guys a chance at that #2 WR spot with the first unit, namely Roosevelt.
  7. buffalosportsdaily.com is reporting from multiple sources that Clabo was thrilled at the idea of playing next to Kraig Urbik, and it nearly tipped the scales in our direction.
  8. I don't like the idea of cutting Naaman or Easley, I can see where you're coming from. The numbers game at WR complicates things. TJ can help us as he'd likely be the second best WR. Big, physical, reliable, playoff experience. On a team lacking at TE he can help Fitz underneath, a guy he played with for 2 years in Cincinnati. You saw the way the players questioned the direction when Evans was dealt. I have to think the leaders, the likes of Merriman, Kyle, Fitz, Barnett would be happy with this. We were bad on third down last year, and the offensive line will probably again struggle. I like Brad Smith but Housh can help in the passing game. Not the end of the world if it doesn't happen.
  9. I'm amazed at how many people think the beginning of the season is more about developing former UDFAs who have never done a thing in the league than it is about winning. We lost a lot of experience when Evans left. WR is now Steve Johnson and an empty cupboard, other than potential. He could have a good influence on the youngins an provide a steady pair of hands for Fitz as a possession guy. Not ground-breaking but a nice add
  10. What do we know about this kid? I came away thinking he was decent last year, but got injured quickly if memory serves. I like the hometown: Boone, Iowa! Third round pick of the Skins in 2008, 26 years old. 6'5, 327 on bb.com. Another Skins 3rd was Mr. Dockery. It'd be nice to get one back at them The door is wide open with Urbik struggling. How has Rinehart looked in camp, what do we think?
  11. We should be interested in Davis if we can get him on a 1- or 2-year deal, don't know if that's the case. His versatility would help and we could use a big strong run blocker
  12. This part I'm not sure I agree. I don't see why we can't sign a stopgap for one season until we get more draft picks this April, when we seek the long-term answer.
  13. Definitely worthy of being on an NFL roster, so that's something. Whether he's a worthy starter is debatable. Athletic and solid in pass pro. Not strong enough to move people around in the run game.
  14. You can be significantly better than the likes of Rinehart and Urbik, and still be a big disappointment. I think that's where Andy is. Gailey knows how much time he has before the season starts, and is using some practice time to motivate Levitre to get where he should be.
  15. First of all, you don't roll over into the fetal position like a B word before the season even starts. That is regardless of circumstance. If you want to take that attitude when we're 2-7 and the season is lost, that's fine. But week 1 in Arrowhead isn't about getting young kids experience, it's about !@#$ing WINNING. Second of all, he'd be replacing Erik Pears. Pears isn't exactly a hot young prospect bursting with potential that just needs a little experience-- on the contrary, he's a stopgap vet himself. Just a stopgap vet that is incompetent.
  16. Maybe some guys on ESPN "no nothing," but I don't believe former world champion John Gruden is one of them.
  17. If Hangartner got overpowered at center, why would you want to move him to guard? He has value at center because of his high football IQ. Seems like moving him to guard emphasizes his weaknesses and covers his strengths rather than the opposite. That's why we talk about using last year's alignment. I saw another poster say they heard Gailey on the radio saying that it's a consideration, and he's not worried about getting practice reps if they do go that way because the guys already know those positions. I'm expecting Levite/Hanger/Wood
  18. If by your post you mean we may never call a pass play longer than 10 yards, you may be right.
  19. Who! Who! Who! Who! Who! Are you? (and why should I believe you?)
