  1. EJ in home games: 3-2 record, 91.8 rating, 62.8%, 7 TD, 3 INT, 7.22 ypa, 213.6 ypg His two losses were his first career game vs. NE* (105.5 rating, 18-27, 150 yds, 2 TD, 0 INT) and vs. Atlanta in Toronto (86.7 rating, 18-32, 210 yds, 1 TD, 0 INT). You'll recall that if SJ13 doesn't put the ball on the turf in both games, EJ is very likely 5-0 at home. Maybe we give him more than 5 road starts before panicking about the discrepancy. Kid has a lot to learn but "bust trajectory" I can't agree with.
  2. Personally I think Dansby passes both tests. Would love to see us try again there, seems like just what we need- a thumper that brings attitude and leadership and can cover a bit. Beason helped the Jints run D last year and generally seems a tad underrated.
  3. I said nothing about certainty; there's only one way to find out and it's not by pinching pennies. We're at 9; we have cap room we never use; is offering 10 really going to blow up our operation?
  4. If 9 doesn't get it done simply offer 10. We have heaps of cap room we never use, what difference does $1M/year make for one of our best players?
  5. Was also wondering this, or if Marrone might task say Henderson to work with Schwartz and make sure we're retaining some of these pass rush and coverage concepts. They have plenty of time to work toward getting the best out of both systems.
  6. Speculation is the idea here, the thread asks us to take a guess. We have no idea what Pettine would be like as a head coach day to day but since it's a guess; he seems to understand the modern NFL, plenty of (successful) NFL experience, he comes from head coaching and he seems more real than Marrone. Not that I'm down on Doug, the jury is still out on both.
  7. Agreed this team isn't good enough to use a top 10 pick on a right tackle.
  8. He was the one who tried to force a 3-4 when we didn't have the personnel. Spencer Johnson and Chris Kelsay to OLB I believe.
  9. CFL guy is Charles #96, kid looks interesting, I could see him as Branch's backup if Carrington doesn't come back. We'll need a more helpful board member for Brown
  10. Yes seemingly about average at killing it and can punt the ball 60 yards = worst in the history of the league He was an outstanding punter in his day. In my opinion though it was mostly distance and hangtime that made him so good- maybe my memory is just fuzzy.
  11. Was Moorman ever that great of a pooch punter? I remember seeing a lot of touchbacks over the years, from here he seemed about average in terms of killing it down. It was those 60 yarders I loved about him.
  12. Personally I'm not seeing it just yet. Moorman was available in the middle of the season, so you'd think there'd be better veteran punters available come free agency. Why not simply sign one of those better options and let that dude compete with a youngster.
  13. I think I'll just watch the second Jets game and second Dolphins game over and over until May 8.
  14. Run plays I'd lose the mark a lot, pass plays are easier Wins ya can always re-watch
  15. The 2012 season I tried to watch Mario on every snap when I wasn't too overcome by the emotion of the game. It gets easier with experience to follow the football with your peripheral version, so one can learn to avoid missing the rest of the game while watching a line matchup. Gets easier with a little time
  16. By in large maybe, but other than face to face with my family, personally I haven't found as good a way to discuss the Bills anywhere as TBD. Have to chalk it up to difference of opinion I believe as to me Twitter could never compare with a community like this. Your mileage may vary
  17. The part of the no huddle I like SJBF is that when we need to pick up the pace and get points quickly, whether because we're down big or in a 2 min situation it's no different for us than any other possession. we're at full speed all the time. live action, and at practice. I wonder if that might've helped EJ execute the drive against Carolina as early on as he did. Again as YOLO said, not sure that outweighs what you're talking about considering the inexperience with EJ, Tuel and Thad alike. Yes I think these numbers may be an indictment of the decision to use the no huddle full time in EJ's rookie year. But I kinda like the idea going forward, in today's pinball wizard NFL.
  18. I'd like to see the Bills get a TE who presents a matchup problem for the defense, more than a player like Chandler. I look at the top NFL offenses I see Gronkowski, Graham, J. Thomas, Gates, even Ertz...the best O's all seem to have a much better athlete than we do. With a young QB developing a lot of different parts of his game at once, it seems well worth using a 1st\2nd rounder here to get someone who can both stretch the field, and roam the middle & move the chains with consistency. Would love to see them additionally bring back Chandler and use a bunch of two-TE sets, with Lee Smith as valuable depth and as a goal line piece.
  19. Well tackling is something I imagine could be improved in a young player by good coaching. It's possible Duke is simply more of a project than some of our earlier picks. I'm interested to see if Donnie Henderson can mold something here.
  20. Perhaps we've already drafted his eventual replacement in Duke Williams, in which case trading Byrd for a pick actually could make us better. One can hope
