  1. For me there's nobody worse than Irvin and Sapp, they're so !@#$ing loud and never say anything intelligible. Deion is funny now and then, to me anyway, to each his own.
  2. Completely agree! There was at least one year I believe where they had Mayock and Davis both at the main table, never should've changed it. Deion has become a guilty pleasure for me in recent years for a laugh but the likes of Irvin, Mariucci, Faulk, Sapp add nothing while making a whole lotta noise.
  3. I've been going with Mayock for about 5 years now, he and Charles Davis are more knowledgable than anyone ESPN puts on in my opinion. I hate to miss out on Berman but I flip over when I can and Eisen is entertaining too. I like on the final day of the draft they play this game where they pick out the most obscure prospect they can find and Mayock still has a report on him, it's good fun.
  4. WWE now has a strict 'wellness policy' that seems to have largely done away with illegal drug use. Unlike in the 80s and 90s it's now a publically traded company, which has brought about all kinds of changes in the way they do business, one of which is going to great lengths in an attempt to separate from the steroid-ridden image. At one point they suspended one of their biggest stars for a wellness violation and fired another for a marijuana arrest along with numerous lower-profile incidences, and have dropped hundreds of thousands rehabilitating former wrestlers. As someone who follows the company I highly doubt any active performer would be abusing cocaine on the road in today's climate.
  5. Seems to be the case. As mcbride points out, the NFL doesn't want the PR nightmare of seeing one of their 32 fanbases rally against them for a number of years- a traditional and diehard fanbase at that. Wouldn't play well for the shield in the national media. Mr. Wilson cornered Goodell. Not fact, just the way I see it.
  6. I'm sold on him. He has everything it takes both on the field and off, just needs experience to get consistency in his mechanics and learn to anticipate routes. He's clutch, he's tough, he takes care of the ball, he has a short memory, he has the arm, he's mature and in comand of the offense, and when his feet are set correctly he's accurate. This kid is a gamer. He played quality ball at home and poorly on the road- an indication that he only needs time. Just one guy's opinion
  7. I still think Watkins should be the target in a trade up, should Clowney go to Houston. Surrendering multiple picks for an OT at the top of the draft is an inefficient use of resources for a team with a 24-year-old stud LT already in place, in my view. Reason being that players who have the talent to play LT and receive accolades like Pro Bowls, All-Pro teams and even a chance at the HOF will seek out that opportunity rather than wasting away playing RT. So provided we re-up Glenn, say goodbye to Robinson\Matthews after their rookie contract. Everyone wants the recognition they deserve, especially people who put in the kind of work it takes at the NFL level. It's been pointed out that Schwartz' defenses have invested less in LBs than in DL and DB. So with Kiko already in place I don't see Buffalo trading up for another OLB. I still think the Bills have need for a true all-around, go-to receiver. Right tackle can be covered as late as the 3rd-4th round in this draft to compete with Hairston and Pears.
  8. Hey thanks Doc. In that case there's almost no downside to the move and I wouldn't expect it to have a big effect on draft strategy. Just a flier really
  9. Long thread, don't know if it's been mentioned but do we know if there'd be dead cap in the event we cut him after his first year?
  10. This FO/coaching staff has already sparked the careers of former 1st rounders McKelvin and Hughes. Like 3rd & 12 my gut feeling is positive on this one.
  11. Beerball, I just think once that contract is up, the player would jet to a city where he can play LT. Both for money and recognition.
  12. I'm confused as to why Lawson wouldn't be the starting SAM 'backer, he seemed damn good against both run and pass last year.
  13. It also would most likely mean letting a 1st round pick leave after his rookie deal, or letting Cordy Glenn leave after his rookie deal. Wouldn't make sense to give monster contracts to two offensive tackles. I'm hoping WR, TE or LB.
  14. I wonder what Colts fans would've had to say about Jerry Hughes.
  15. You believe Whaley had liscense to use the entire cap if he wanted to?
  16. I didn't literally mean Littman chose Legursky lol, more like he sets a budget and the Dougs have to work within his parameters.
  17. Coulda just been Littman, and Marrone had to toe the company line.
  18. Or perhaps Jeffrey Littman thought so and coach had no choice.
  19. Everybody (myself included) thought we overpaid for McKelvin, then quality coaching unlocked Leo's first round ability. Our HC is a former OL coach- not the case in St. Louis. Hughes was considered a bust by the team that drafted him, just like Williams. Then quality coaching unlocked his first round ability as well. Coach him up, Doug
