  1. I was one row up from him. Section 340 was awesome, Bills fans owned it.
  2. Completely agree. Hopefully someone steps up and it doesn't cost us.
  3. I don't like this decision at all. He's too good to deactivate in favor of special teams.
  4. Simmons just wants the spotlight. I see him on TNT NBA coverage, which is an excellent panel other than him. Everything Simmons says is designed to get the viewer to notice HIM. He's in the same mold as a Cowherd or Bayless. He's a joke.
  5. I also wonder if they're thinking more sweeps and power handoffs will help Spiller.
  6. Maybe a single training camp INT is completely insignificant and shouldn't even register on your radar? Na couldn't be Imagine how silly it'd be if EJ were lauded as having 'arrived' each time he thew a TD in training camp. Relaaaaaaax
  7. Portis for Champ Bailey springs to mind, but that might've also involved pick(s).
  8. I laughed when Marrone said to Hackett "all we want [EJ] to do is play well and lead the team to a victory." Oh, is that all Coach? Really liked seeing him coaching up Mario Williams as he left the field- I don't think you'd see guys like Gailey or Rex Ryan coaching the opposite unit of their expertise like that. Hope hope hope hope Marrone is the guy.
  9. I finally got around to it yesterday too- really enjoyed it. They underscored each of our 6 wins and those were the highlghts of our season so no complaints here. Man those NFL Films guys know how to get you worked up. edit- loved the mic'd stuff with Marrone, just awesome!
  10. Robey was shockingly good but common man, McKelvin was shutting down #1s like it was no big deal.
  11. Andre Reed stands up without realizing the referee is standing over him, personal foul, Miami wins.
  12. I had a lot of fun with the World Cup but it's the Bills we're talking about.
  13. The one to Chandler and the personal foul on Goodwin that he could've caught after EJ looked off the safety, both perfectly timed downfield throws. Thanks for posting this.
  14. It's not just CJ that gets hurt every year, Fred-Ex does too, tough as he is. As much as it sucked watching CJ limp around and duck out of bounds constantly it was a lot better than watching Tashard Choice's slow ass. Its basically inevitable at least one of Fred/CJ will get hurt, as soon as that happens Brown becomes an important player. After the EJs and the Sammys BB is one of the players I'm most looking forward to seeing in the preseason. An almost impossible combination of size and speed and the fact Mr. Whaley worked for 18 months to get this kid? I'm really intrigued.
  15. With Spikes locking down MLB this year, any chance Preston gets a look at SLB?
  16. Fitz with all his flaws is easily better than Cassel. I like Bridgewater but down the road, not for 2014. Vikes, yikes!
  17. Impressive last year, kid was all over the place in a couple of games
  18. I'm not sure if in this case it would have been as simple as Schwartz choosing to keep Pettine's system. It was a system built on lining people up in different spots, and varying their roles to the point the offense had no idea who was rushing and who was covering on a given play. Schwartz has spent his career lining up the same four guys with their hand in the dirt and rushing from the same four positions snap after snap. Pettine didn't learn to deceive and befuddle offensive lines on a consistent basis overnight, and I'm skeptical that Jim S. could have.
  19. Agreed that Sammy and Goodwin will be a lot more dangerous in the YAC department than Robert Woods. In a different offense I might agree with your larger point Webster, but the Bills play a run n shoot-style passing game, the key principle being attacking downfield in numbers. Using the outside receivers to force the safeties away from the middle of the field, opening deep routes between the hashes for the slot man. Andre Reed, Marques Colston (under Marrone himself) and Victor Cruz are examples of downfield threats who've thrived in the slot in related systems. I think Woods is a decent fit because he can do some of the Welker-style traditional slot stuff, and can attack down the field. FWIW I think the ultimate long-term goal now that we have a player like Watkins (talking years down the road) will be to set up our personnel in a way that allows Watkins to play the slot full-time, in other words to be the Andre Reed of this offense. Right now using him more on the outside and allowing Woods to make plays in the middle is the best way to get full value out of Woods and by extension the WR core at large.
  20. That last one is the only SB I can remember watching- I was five. I couldn't understand why my dad and brother were so anxious even though we were winning. Ah the ignorance of youth. Just can't wait for this team to rise up again. That Tim Tindale was great and all but come on man, that's it!?
