Well you asked if he's gonna become a franchise quarterback this year, at a time when he was clearly third in the competition. I kinda thought to myself 'Is this really necessary Kirby? Obviously he's not becoming a franchise QB if he's not playing.' What I love is that through 2 games all 6 QB shifts have been pretty good. That speaks well of Roman and his staff. I can't wait to see the system Roman has cooked up for Tyrod.

The ball to the endzone for Thompson was underthrown, it being nearly caught was only a result of the DB failing to turn around and trying to defend blind. If it's thrown to the back of the endzone it's 6 points. Taylor's throw to the endzone for Thompson last week though was a good ball in a tight window. I think Tyrod has shown enough efficiency to be named the starter and get the reps going forward. If he's comparable to Cassel and EJ as a passer, tie should go to Taylor for the added mobility element he gives Roman. That stuff opens things up for everyone else and helps the team win, especially with a coach who uses it so well. This offense has a chance to be dangerous!

If you can't get all in with Rex, you're one of those poker players who has their stack blinded out. Year 3 and now with competent coaching my boy needs to turn that potential into production. For a guy like Goodwin to make it he's gonna have to really want it, no doubt. Go Bills -

He's put in the work to make himself a heck of a blocker despite a natural disadvantage there. I wouldn't be shocked if he hears footsteps after all the injuries but would certainly hope it doesn't go as far as consciously skating by. -

I know they were thinking that way in Houston last year, lol Don't let the past ruin the present Marquise! -

Interesting stuff Badol. He doesn't seem to have had the standout camp this year that he did in his first two, dropping more passes. I thought when he first showed up he tracked deep balls easily and naturally. Still hoping the little guy can get it together though the clock is ticking. -
He needs to learn when to look at the quarterback, and when he does that it's gonna force him to re-learn some other parts of his technique. I think there's hope he can get there by opening day but I feel it's a tall mountain to climb and will be watching the reports on Leo closely. He did use the sideline well as an extra defender and it was a good lesson for him that QBs and WRs actually can make these connections on the sideline even downfield in tight spaces. I think these may be things that take more than a month to adjust for but we'll see, Henderson is Henderson.

Agreed, credit where it's due to Yolo for talking up Gilmore on Andre Johnson and Darby on Hilton. If I recmember correctly there were camp reports of Darby even holding his own against Watkins so I'd say yes he needs to get better but there's some hope he can be ready for TY. Too bad it's Luck but nice to have the best pass rush in the league.

I'll agree '08 was his least disappointing year but only because it's more acceptable for a rookie to be bad than a non-rookie.He had athleticism and some coverage skills but he was wildly inconsistent and gave up a lot of big gains and touchdowns those first 3 years. I thought he had a chance to get better but considered it slim because 3 healthy seasons in his play just hadn't made the grade. Your opinion is yours, no need to apologize but I clearly remember not being the only one who thought he was likely to bust. As for Darby I thought his coverage was more consistent than McKelvin's was two years in, but Darby's ball skills are simply lacking at this point (at least on that night) and I agree it's hard to imagine such a drastic turnaround in a month's time. I also wonder if Hilton, who I love, is actually a better matchup for Darby at this point in his career than these 6'5 guys, because Darby CAN stay with his man and that's the challenge Hilton presents. They're gonna have to do some serious work with the kid though on back shoulder throws, get his head around MUCH quicker and get across the WR's body to play the ball. It does look like a tall order right now imo

2008 and 2010 McKelvin was a mess. clueless with the ball in the air and every double move he saw faked him right out of his spikes.2011 he got a little better, started to learn not to jump every cut immediately and fared better against double moves, more consistent in coverage, still struggled with ball skills. It wasn't until the last 4-5 weeks of 2012 that he looked like a legitimate NFL starting corner. Then he took off with Henderson
