  1. Could be. I'm concerned about the possibility that this OC who is passionate about finding different ways to run the ball doesn't know how to beat good defenses without a top run blocking line. But either way we should be able to smoke the Fish!
  2. I'm not forgetting the offense is new as much as I am disregarding it. Our scoring 27+ points each of the first 3 weeks for a total of 100 would seem to indicate this is not the biggest part of the problem. Everyone is pleased that we're healthy but it won't last forever. The Giants game for example was an embarrassment, healthy McCoy or not. Gotta do better, period.
  3. Yes. I haven't been bitching about the offense the last two weeks because the one thing I give them a break for is Tyrod being out. Not much you can do with poor QB play unless you have a beast run blocking line, which we don't. At that point, is what it is, imo. But with Tyrod healthy, it's once again on like a mofo.
  4. I don't think you can realistically expect to have all 5 starters all the time though. The good teams are the ones who can coach guys up so there isn't so big a dropoff. The odds of any 5 given starters being available all season long are not strong. What's more important, building cohesion or gaining the ability to be functional without it? Every team is playing musical chairs with their starting lineup all season long. Further, you aren't even given the practice time before the season to establish that synergy- where you used to have two-a-days you now have unpadded practices. I also see a lot of folks saying 'now we FINALLY have our QB, two RBs, OL and top WR all healthy together.' As if now we'll see the "real" Bills offense. Well that's great (truly) but how long do you expect this perfection to last, one game? Two if you're lucky? The coaches must be able to gameplan with the pieces they have on a given day and find a way to get production.
  5. Another thing we can agree on: to be the man, ya gotta beat the man. Also, real men wear kilts. You may be right, who knows. I tend to think McKelvin, even if he makes some errors, could fare a lot better than Rambo. though I do not think Leo's as good a fit at safety as Graham or AW. I really like Robey in the slot except against certain teams who can exploit him.
  6. For me it's because Robey can flat play. Rambo and Duke, not so much. Like Graham said in a quote, the safeties play a lot of man coverage in this D comparatively.
  7. Good point, I forgot how close we came. This is more the type of guy I'd be willing to commit to for multiple years and re-shape the roster for. A bright young mind with an impressive resume, including a playoff run under a quality coach (Harbaugh) and even a decent head coaching season of his own, who just hasn't gotten his opportunity yet. He's lighting it up in Cincinnati, showing he understands the new NFL. Meanwhile Rex' success came in another league at another time. If Rex produces say 7-8 wins and we give him a courtesy year, we probably miss this particular boat.
  8. The link doesn't work for me but Jackson is a strong candidate. I'm hoping that if we have an opening this offseason he'll be near the top of the list. He was QB Coach under Harbaugh when Flacco became the first rookie in NFL history to win 2 playoff games. As OC with the Raiders his offense was 6th in the NFL in scoring, 10th in total yards and 2nd in rushing yards. Then he became the head man and started 7-4, finished 8-8 in a dysfunctional organization and had the rug pulled out from under him. Now he's doing good work with Dalton and company.
  9. I think it's smarts and instincts moreso than athleticism that have allowed Graham and AW to seemingly always be in the right place in this D, and to shine. I'm whole heartedly for the move though. I could see McKelvin as a safety being not quite as good as our two starters but still a significant upgrade over the likes of Rambo/Duke. His athleticism will help him try to recover from any growing pain errors that may come early on.
  10. CG has been all over the place in this defense. One of our best overall players so far
  11. Nobody here knows for sure but I tend to agree with you. Darby seems to be the only good, tough prediction he's made in all his time of sharing info.
  12. Woods is like Reed with more speed. Reed couldn't play outside and couldn't get deep.
  13. What!? Nobody is trying to justify the ridiculous statements made toward him...
  14. I'm not saying he shouldn't have it, but to have social media and not be prepared to deal with lunacy? Pure lunacy.
  15. Kinda how you don't see Bill Clinton randomly walking down the street by himself. Fame brings challenges. It means that hanging out on a public social media account is akin to begging masses of people to criticize and threaten you.
  16. Because nobody forced Sammy to have a Twitter account in the first place. He could delete it and eliminate the psychotic criticisms any time he wants. Unfortunately, I can't delete his ignorance.
  17. Is he though? Or is he the first edge defender off the bench?
  18. Notwithstanding the arbitrary franchise QB label, what makes you so certain Carr and Bridgewater are any better than Taylor?
  19. The one thing I like about this game is it'll be wake n watch. No waiting around for 1pm, or God forbid 4:30, this week.
