  1. I don't know what else you want; I said Edwards and the Bills did well. You're the one that was pumping up Edwards' performance in Denver. All I said was to not put so much stock into going into Denver and winning a game because Denver was not a strong team last year. I'm a Bills fan; I want the Bills to win.
  2. which is what i said at the beginning of the thread: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...t&p=1314242
  3. I agree. Denver historically is tough to play in their house. This year? Not so much, as Denver was exposed as a team that's not that good. Which brought me to the whole thing about "Yeah, we did well against Denver. When you look at the numbers, though...." and showing those stats.
  4. yeah, but i kind of figured anyone that clashed with tony soprano so much was bound to end up whacked.
  5. 50/50 shot ain't too bad.
  6. eh, I wouldn't totally hang my hat on achievements versus Denver's defense last year. Their defense was straight-up horrific - witness: 29th in yards allowed per game (374.6) 26th in pass yards allowed per game (226.5) 27th in rush yards allowed per game (146.1) and even though buffalo did very well that day, putting up 30 points, it's only 2 more than denver allowed on average. and FWIW, Denver was 4-4 at home last year, which doesn't exactly scream "extremely hard to win at". Hell, Oakland blew Denver out IN Denver.
  7. I haven't gotten a chance to catch the final season. Sounds good.
  8. more than likely, we're going to see what he's made of this year. i'm cautiously optimistic, we'll see.
  9. Bar Rafaeli (sp?) ... drool. How does Leo pull it off? It's like all he nails is model ass. Lucky bastard.
  10. I love how people bring up the "He had a winning record as a rookie!" in their arguments that Trent Edwards is going to be good/great/god. The 5-4 record is based on the fact that a game that JP Losman won (13-3 over the New York Jets after Edwards left due to injury). How did Edwards "lead" the Bills to victory if he left when the Bills were tied/trailing?
  11. Trent Edwards
  12. dude, i'm pretty sure that's not ray liotta and that the guy in the passenger seat is balthasar getty
  13. I guess it basically boils down to, "Who would you rather have @ QB if you needed to win the game?". With BenRo, chances are he's going to break a few tackles and somehow get off a pass that he had no business throwing because he should have been down at some point in the game. Collins, in that same situation, is probably going to either a. get sacked or b. run backwards throwing a stupid pass (not that ben doesn't do that, also).
  14. i don't want to hear the phrases "has IT" or "Poise" again. I just want to see Trent Edwards lead the Buffalo Bills to wins against teams other than the bottom feeders, then I'll be happy.
  15. agreed. the article that i took that blurb from actually was talking about canty possibly going to miami.
  16. wtf!?!?!?!? what the hell has this guy ever done to warrant that kind of contract? come to think of it, what has tommy kelly done to get a contract like that? stupid raiders.
  17. Imo he wasn't 'blaming him', he was pointing out the differences between a guy like BenRo and Kerry Collins.
  18. Excellent point about numbers not always telling the full story.
  19. rofl! Johnson's act is old but Plaxico Burress' isn't? Holding out for more money every offseason, doing idiotic things like shooting himself in the leg?
  20. with no pressure, (which there wasn't in the cleveland game) any QB that's worth anything will be able to find a person open, 6/7/8 people in coverage be damned.
  21. porter is and always has been, save for one year, garbage. pass.
  22. none. trent edwards is the best quarterback to ever play for the bills in the past and future.
  23. if you're going to break out comparisons like that, you should know that these two situations are completely different. troy aikman was the #1 draft pick of the 1989 draft. that means dallas was the worst team in the nfl the previous year. aikman was thrown immediately into the fire on a horrible team. I don't think the 'remember what aikman did his first two years?' is a valid comparison.
  24. parcells said he isn't physical enough. shrug.
