  1. why not? our OL has several holes.
  2. if either of the guys other than freeman are there, then hell yes you'd have to draft them at that point imo .. either for trade bait or competition for edwards edit: similar to when trent edwards was drafted... just too much value/talent at that point in time to pass on it
  3. I wouldn't be opposed to this draft scenario.
  4. It'd be great if we got Pettigrew. Not at 11, though.
  5. i'd hate it if we took a TE with the 11th pick in the draft.
  6. for some reason i thought pass due to his quick feet?
  7. i was hoping for the 21st pick instead of the 28th...
  8. wow.. i'd have thought that we'd get a little more than that for peters. ah well.
  9. if the trade doesn't go through, what's the over/under on the number of games Edwards misses due to injuries?
  10. langston walker is probably going to be the LT imo
  11. my thoughts on this pick: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...t&p=1387460
  12. i must interject here: by magox's logic, Trent Edwards was the #2 ranked pro-style QB whereas Matty Ice was the #25 ranked pro-style QB. 2 is a better ranking than 25 so Edwards would have started over Ryan.
  13. another interesting tidbit: during jay cutler's tenure @ vanderbilt, they had a total of 4 players drafted into the NFL (including Cutler)... and this is in the SEC.
  14. Leonhard's a decent returner. Not as explosive or dangerous as Leon Washington, though.
  15. it's not looking at pettigrew specifically, it's the thought of drafting a TE @ the 11th spot that scares me. For one thing, looking at the draft history of TEs: http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft...p;type=position We'd have a guy that imo would basically be the next Kyle Brady.. I think that we'd be better off getting another position of need @ 11 rather than TE. (since this year's TE class is so deep, we'd more than likely be able to get our TE later on in the draft) also, he's gonna come off the field with three wides.. which we run quite a bit.
  16. The more I look at this, the more it looks like taking pettigrew @ 11 would be a colossal mistake. if we take pettigrew, i hope it's after we trade down in the first round.
  17. Fack, I sure as hell hope we don't draft a TE @ the 11th spot.
  18. rhodes is a guy who has: started and ran for 1k yards, been the change-of-pace back, returned kicks, and can catch the ball. he'd be a good acquisition.
  19. eh all this high school rankings stuff is great and all but brock berlin was the #1 player in the usa in 2000
  20. Gonna have to disagree. There's a difference between "not being much of a scrambler" with having horrible pocket presence and not knowing when to get rid of the ball.
  21. freeney ran a 4.38??? that sounds a little crazy. And regarding a DE's speed, I think a better measure of how 'fast' a DE is would be their 10 yard dash time as opposed to their 40.
  22. I'm just sayin'... you said "Edwards played with a bunch of people who weren't even drafted."
