  1. well, have you ever seen a ravens game? ryan pretty much brought their defensive scheme up to NY. blitzes from multiple angles, different stunts, etc. an aggressive, attacking defense.
  2. his performance today didn't improve my opinion of him. he's lucky crompton sucks so bad as a qb or else florida probably would have lost.
  3. I think Tebow is arguably the best CFB player ever, but I don't think his skills are going to translate well into the NFL. A team is going to have to take a few years to try and make him into a pro-style quarterback. And all that hinges on whether or not he can improve his accuracy/touch.
  4. Bills-63 Buccaneers-24 Trent Edwards rushes for 4 touchdowns, throws for 5, and breaks the record for yardage in a game (passing).
  5. naah, it was Green Bay, but yeah, Terrell Buckley got abused regularly when he was up in cheese country.
  6. i could be wrong, but i'm pretty sure that play didn't score any points for the patriots.
  7. after watching the replay of the game on my dvr, this is absolutely correct. spencer johnson knifes to his right, with his blocker basically pushing him towards where the ball carrier is running to.
  8. don't be alarmed- this is a not uncommon occurence when people are first introduced to the CHROISE.
  9. rofl!! Robo-sack sacked 9 times.
  10. "and the crusade continues..." haha, I figured I'd post it before Magoo did.
  11. grrr and Clyde Simmons intercepted a screen pass.
  12. Yep. Sage Rosenfels had like 20 completions to Chris Chambers while being covered by "Moneybags" Nate Clements.
  13. just because a person has two defenders assigned to them doesn't mean it's impossible for them to get open. before the game last monday night, they showed owens when he was in dallas getting catches/touchdowns with double coverage.
  14. example of TO blocking: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qkEJu1yQJlE
  15. So basically you have no rebuttal, other than to attempt to claim your mental superiority over me. Gotcha. I'll just take that as you conceding.
  16. Incorrect. Just going to Lori's numbers posted earlier, almost 3/4ths of Edwards yardage was accumulated via YAC. I don't know Brady's, as no one has shown them, but just by watching the game I know that his passes actually travelled down the field a majority of the time, as opposed to at/behind the LOS for ours.
  17. am i misreading the rule, or should the ball have not been spotted at the 36?
  18. It's SUPPOSED to be spotted at where the slide begins.
  19. Owens has always been a hell of a blocker his whole career.
  20. You don't really have a leg to stand on. In your initial post, you clearly said Trent is getting the ball downfield for more yardage PER CAPITA (Interesting choice of words). Lori blew that theory all to hell. And then, a major basis of your argument is based on EXTRAPOLATION. Well, Ramius beat me to the punch when he showed the idiocy of basing an argument off of 'what if' by showing how Brian Moorman totally PWNZORED Drew Brees last year passing. My comparison of Fred Jackson PWNING Randy Moss wasn't needed. However, please, by all means, continue your chest-thumping crusade to announce your superior football intellect and grandoise vocabulary to everyone.
  21. no one said otherwise. the main discussion(argument) is that SouthGeorgiafan was saying that Trent was chucking the ball downfield for big yardage.. and people were saying otherwise. Then we were all morons for not realizing how brilliant both SouthGeorgia and Trent Edwards are/were.
  22. Well, this argument is inherently borderline retarded, as we're making a comparison based on an estimation/extrapolation. If you extrapolate Fred Jackson's catches out to Randy Moss's, then he totally PWNZORED Randy Moss, too. edit: damn, ramius beat me to a ridiculous extrapolation
  23. The only one hating here is you when anyone disagrees with your assessment that Trent Edwards is the best quarterback in the NFL.
  24. Thanks for the link to the word 'extrapolation'. I already knew it, but thanks anyways. I notice how you seemingly missed the yard per completion argument blowing up in your face. Please continue with the l33t pwning of this n00bz0r. also, I don't know why your panties are in such a bunch. I said Edwards played well. What else do you want me to say? "OMG he's the bestest QB EVAR!!!!!1111"
  25. That's great that you took the time to calculate what would have happened if the Bills threw the ball 50 times, but it didn't happen. Buffalo didn't convert a third down until halfway through the third quarter. If Edwards was "pwning" Brady (which I can't even understand how that's possible, since Brady doesn't play defense), why didn't we throw the ball more? And you bring up Trent "not looking down the field enough" and compare yards per completion. Did it ever occur to you that Fred Jackson had 7 catches, most of which were behind the line of scrimmage? I'm not penalizing Trent, because like I said he played well enough for Buffalo to win, but that's why I say the QB rating is misleading in this case. So please, pwn me some more. I can't believe you use "pwn" in a discussion, but to each their own.
