  1. Defense lacks toughness against the run and a solid pass rush....its that simple

There was this guy Brian Orakpo in last years draft.......oh forget it!

And yet, with Brian Orakpo, look at where Washington sits defensively.

(note: this is in no way defending picking aaron maybin)

  2. except that Matt Moore and Carolina are nowhere near leading their division. And you're hellbent on this 'two very costly interceptions' thing. Did he throw his interceptions in overtime? No. Actually, he had to make two scoring drives in the final 5 minutes of regulation to GET the game to overtime.

looking at all the previous winners of the fedex air/ground awards, though, makes this argument semantics. they only elect players from teams that win.

  3. Fitz was on an 0-5 team that beat itself to go to 0-6 and Fitz didnt help the cause giving up 2 INT's to start the 2nd half.

except.. he had us driving in overtime to possibly win the game. he didn't turn the ball over in overtime and make us lose.his numbers stack up just as well, if not better, than any of these other guys listed.

  4. Come on, this fitz stuff is getting ridiculous. Yes he had a good game but you do realize that Fitz threw 2 ints to start the second half that heavily contributed to the loss as Balt scores on both to take the lead and never trail the rest of the game right? And there is that pesky thing about him losing this week...

The over reactions on this board are fascinating to watch

doesnt change the fact that he had a hell of a game against an elite defense...

  5. Even the announcers pointed out how fast he looked. Lack of sprinting speed doesn't mean you can't have WR speed. We have three good receivers now. Four if you include Roscoe Parrish. It's a shame that we have talent there, because the upcoming draft may be very deep at WR (A.J. Green, Julio Jones, Ryan Broyles, Jeff Fuller, Terrance Tolliver, Jonathan Baldwin) if they all come out this year.

proven production in the NFL > great nfl potential imo

  6. 24 completions to WRs by the Bills yesterday. TWENTY-FOUR. Johnson -- 8. Parrish -- 8. Evans -- 6. D. Nelson -- 2. I haven't done any research, but 24 WR completions seems insane.

By comparison, Flacco completed 8 passes to WRs.

Completions to WRs from the first two games with "that other quarterback": 17.

  7. You've raised what may well be a fair point. I guess someone should look at the games Fitz started last season and compare them to the ones Edwards started. Was there a difference in the quality of defenses? Did the offensive line seem to be doing a better job of pass protecting?

That's funny, the same comparison was urged when people said that Trent "just won" compared to the quarterback before him.

  8. Of course everybody believes that the Bills are going to lose this game BUT how badly they get beat will tell me all I need to know. These are still professional athletes on this team (with pride I hope) and with all that is being said about them, I would think that fight alone would keep them from being embarrassed.

Really bad teams lose badly to good teams so it will be interesting to see exactly what transpires in Baltimore this Sunday....

i'm thinking it's going to be a carbon copy of the jets game. bullied on both offense and defense, with us maybe scoring a touchdown.

  9. more guys coming out of HS.. noel devine.. 4.4 40 yard dash.. 5'8 175 pounds. darren sproles 4.5 40.. 5'7 170 pounds.

of course you're going to see some terrible tackling attempts, these are high school kids. they're usually not fast enough to keep up with the DI prospects,so they're not able to break down and use proper tackling technique. instead they.... REACH. imagine that.
