  2. "They need a critical stop with 3 minutes left. Who makes the play?" We had that problem last year, too. Against the Titans, they ran, ran, ran, WITH THE WIND. We had to call TO our defense was reeling so bad. Then they scored anyway. I love our O-Line moves. We still have the draft and some more time to do something about run stopping. The guys we let go couldn't stop the run last year, why do you think they woulda been able to next year?
  3. Let's...Go...Buff...alo! Lovin' this commitment to the O-Line. That's where it all starts. This will be my first full season that I've lived in the area and had money (wasn't a kid). Got to a few single games last year but just got my first pair of seasons! Can't wait.
  4. Playoffs, must win out, rooting for MIA, flu bugs..... I'm excited to be back in the hunt and will be at the game Sunday (damn, it's good to be back in WNY). As a Buffalo fan, though, I know how this stuff usually turns out. Although Pittsburgh last year..... Those old feelings are starting to come back. I'm pretty confident we'll win Sunday and get the help we need because losing this week simply wouldn't be a gut-wrenchingly painful enough end. We'll get our Christmas presents and be on the cusp of a cinderella berth with a peaking young cohesive team with a chip on its shoulder due to a lack of perceived "respect" due to Pro Bowl snubs, etc. At some point in the near future I will fully commit myself emotionally, willfully ignoring all historical precedent. It's what will happen then that has me nervous as a gerbil in a San Francisco pet shop. Maybe Nervous Guy can shed some light on this phenomenon. Maybe some sort of "nervousness" scale or "nerve-o-meter" as we go down this familiar path once again.
  5. I used to live down there and went to many Bills games, Including the AFC Championship Game. There was always a big Bills contingent that filled entire sections of the upper decks at Rich Stadium South. During this period, MIA fans didn't cheer their team, they just kept chanting "Buffalo Sucks!".....It was very cool to hear 20-30k Bills Fans retort with "Who Sucks Now!...Who Sucks Now!" as the fish fans streamed out early. Good times.
  6. Here's one I wrote years ago under a different name when i lived in upstate South Carolina...I still like it's poetic simplicity. I Hate Miami God But I Hate Miami I Hate Miami See? 5-7-5. Lets's see your poetry!
  7. I agree with you. I'm not a real big fan of the old Peerless, the way he would get alligator arms in traffic and not sell out to make the tough play, especially on 3rd down it seemed. However, he seems to have had a change of heart and attitude. More humility, more maturity, perhaps? And on that important 3rd down play he went way up in linebacker land to get the ball, exposing himself to real punishment to make the play. I'm willing to give him another shot. Go Peerless!
  8. With Evans drawing the double coverage, and injuries in the fish secondary, Peerless will likely be one on one with a second tier cover man. Peerless has looked good the last preseason game and at NE, especially that tough 3rd down catch that was negated by penalty. C'mon Peerless...live up to your name and earn your $$!
