Did anyone catch the jack@ss CBS announce crew..
Niagara 66 replied to Heels20X6's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Broncos game was first. They were all over us and lined up to kick a FG that would've pretty much iced it. We blocked it and, I think it was Biscuit, ran it back the other way. Against the Raiders the next week, they were up on us and Tasker blocked a punt that started our point explosion. Those two games were sick....it was like a feeding frenzy after the initial "spark" play. No team could've withstood the offensive onslaught and the rabid crowd fired the D up and helped cause turnovers.... -
Oakland Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills Game Day Preview
Niagara 66 replied to Lori's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No kidding that was too close to comfort. Might I suggest that if you want to engage in prognostication this week you try something like: "If the Bills don't skip breakfast, they will easily dispatch the lowly Rams and the Canonize Trent Edwards watch will resume." -

Crowd was impressive. Pretty subdued most of the day, but brought it when we needed it at the end. Our crowd is intelligent, when the game is in the balance, we get real loud. Place was rocking for 3rd & 10 and went dead silent except for the "grumble grumble grumble" when the Raiders hit that long TD. Got 2x louder still when we needed the stop to give us a chance for the game winning drive. You just KNEW that no way was the D gonna let them move the ball again. We took the Raiders best punch, shook it off and knocked them out!! FANTASTIC win. -
Loved it.. that was football. Our O-line destroyed the interior of the Raiders D and drove them 5 yards deep into the EZ!! After all the fast guys and the razzle dazzle stuff that is a lot of fun to watch, games at some point come down to: "We're moving the ball from here to there, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it". Beautiful stuff!!

Oakland Raiders vs. Buffalo Bills Game Day Preview

Lori: You're really a gifted writer, and an excellent researcher/journalist. These reviews you create for us each week are comprehensive and are a compelling, informative, and entertaining read. Technically on par, at least, with the stuff I get in my SI subscription and blows all sources away for specifically Bills gameday coverage. Now I'm all smartened up and ready to go to the Ralph! Thank you. -
For some reason this just cracked me up....maybe the image of a bunch of people marching down the street with turd pins, brown ribbons and hats, etc. to raise colon awareness.....the jokes would write themselves.....

Thanks, Marv!! This team has his stamp all over it, I think. Cleared out the dead weight and kept or brought in "character" football players. This Team went through a lot last year together and is really strong now and getting stronger as they realize just how good they are. Plus we have game-tested bench strength. I'm really excited about the Bills this year and in the foreseeable future...

WOW....I'm a big optimist and all, but....WOW!

Did anyone see this play last night?

He's damn lucky Westbrook wasn't injured going over the top to clean up after his punk a$$. They would have lynched him in Philly. -
Ed Hochuli just hosed the Chargers. Bad.

Me, too. -
Thank you. Taylor and Jones-Drew are two of the hardest runners in the league and are usually fresh with the 1-2 punch they throw. I don't think you can expect them to go down to initial contact more than about 50% of the time (complete SWAG). Garrard is big, too. Youboty (who was GREAT yesterday) hit him hard on his blitz, but he didn't go down until help arrived. Sometimes we forget that the guys on the other team are in the NFL, too. That said, I'm sure they'll do some extra tackling drills this week, especially with the Raiders coming off a big running day.

Marty Schottenheimer on Sirius
Niagara 66 replied to devldog131's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm starting to have fantasies about POZ & K. Mitchell both blitzing behind Stroud, demolishing the patchwork interior of the JAX line, stealing the ball from Garrard before he can even hand it off, and scoring....TWICE!!! -
Back in Seattle (From Buffalo Blowout)
Niagara 66 replied to blzrul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I've always liked the Seahawks. I've got family in the area and have visited often. Also, I remember them as "Raider Killers" and enjoyed watching the Zorn-Largent Seahawks in the Kingdome. BTW - They DID get shafted in that SB. The refs were atrocious in their apparent zeal to make sure "The Bus" got his ring....And speaking of shafted, Vinny T.'s helmet just scored again!! -
I think the best named kicker out there now is Ryan Longwell although Nickameir (sp) is definitely more fun to say
-
When Roscoe is back deep to return punts, the whole stadium goes "Cool, they're punting" and sits up a bit on the edge of their seats and pays attention. (Or, if you're like me, stands up and screams "ROSCOE!!!") You know something spectacular is about to occur. I'm to the point I'm actually disappointed when he gets tackled. The only other time I remember a player routinely having that kind of effect on the crowd was number 11 in the Aud. Whenever Gilbert picked up the puck behind his own net, everyone held their breath.... This kid is a lot of fun to watch, I'm glad he's a Bill. ROSCOE!!!

Another Global climate thread.

I posted a link to this outstanding video a week or two ago. Good job spreading the word in the face of the incessant drumbeat of MANBEARPIG propaganda. I think this video should be shown in every classroom across the country, K-12 and, especially at universities. It won't be, of course. This new ManBearPig orthodoxy is extraordinarily dangerous to the US and is conceived and driven by international socialists with the goal of destroying our industrial capacity. Again...the POLICY GOAL of this international socialist movement is nothing less than the destruction of US industrial capacity. How? Regulate, tax, and otherwise restrict CO2, one of the primary outputs of combustion, any combustion. How does it work? Industries (Say, Touchdown Steel) will be "allowed" a certain number of carbon credits for the production of steel in a given year by their self appointed socialist masters who are only saving the Planet "for the children" after all. This number of allowable credits (output units) will decrease arbitrarily based on political whim, not science or market forces. In order to exceed your allocated carbon credits in a year, you will have to pay, big time, to god knows who. Or you will close. But only enforce it in the US. China, Korea, et al will tell any UN inspectors to go F%&& themselves because they know it is national suicide to submit to such BS. Atlas is about to Shrug. -
What do the women think about what this idiot McGahee
Niagara 66 replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As a man living in Buffalo, I take it as a good sign that our ladies do not sink to the low, low standard of being a Willis Ho. They were raised better and have more self-respect and confidence than to subject themselves and their good names to such degradation. -
Man-Made Global Warming (Climate Change) is Bunk
Niagara 66 replied to Niagara 66's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not sure what you mean here. Did you watch the video? It is becoming more and more true that anyone who dares to point out the inherent lies in the global warming swindle is hounded from their professions, hysterically denounced, or worse. Even the co-founder of Greenpeace said this in the video. He said the new people who came into his organization at about the same time as the Berlin Wall fell were all about radical restrictions on industrial activity. They wanted to ban CHLORINE (Cl). Chlorine is an ELEMENT and they wanted to BAN it. Let that sink in. The new global warming truth MUST be believed. The UN issued a (UN Funded) report, AlGore is up for an Oscar for his latest ManBearPig drama, the debate is now settled and dissent will not be tolerated. Non-believers (HERETIC! WACKJOB!) beware the new orthodoxy! Watch as the propaganda machine really cranks up on this one. Every day you will hear about it somewhere. In the paper, on the TV news, on the cover of Newsweek, characters in SITCOMs making jokes about it, etc, etc. "The issue is settled", "Carbon Credits", "Reduced Carbon Footprint" the drumbeat will be incessant. Dissent will not be tolerated. EDIT: See, they're coming after the guys who made the video. Death threats and all. HERETIC! DENIER!! I can feel the spittle from here. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml...1/ngreen211.xml -

Man-Made Global Warming (Climate Change) is Bunk
Niagara 66 replied to Niagara 66's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Man is not causing it. If it is happening at all, it is most likely due to the sun and cyclical climate patterns repeating themselves. The UN report is based on false science and is therefore bunk. It is political ideology bordering on religious orthodoxy. The idea is that all industrial activity must cease or the planet will somehow go haywire. Ask yourself WHY would a group of people want to shut down American industrial activity? THEN what? I won't even address the ckicken little scenarios that you listed. The premise is false. Did you watch that video? It specifically adressed the UN Organization that produced the report. -
Willis "Fourth and a Foot" McGahee. Good riddence. How many times did we punt last year vs. moving the sticks after a third and 3 or less where McGahee carried? That would be a neat project for some TIVO addict out there. Seems like "Fourth and a Foot" never quite had enough heart to get there.
