  1. Then you'll have to excuse my confusion as to how you can support a prediction for total wins but then be unwilling to go through AAAAAAAAAALL 16 games to substantiate it.
  2. Well, you're the one in January making calls about how many games we should expect to win. So...yes. Self-proclaimed "realists" tend to confuse that word with "pessimists." At least that's been my experience. Three.
  3. http://twitter.com/MatthewFairburn/status/684083258968174593 Presumably it was broken when he popped Fitz on the Lawson pick. WARRIOR
  4. So tell me which of the nine games we lose: Dolphins Dolphins Pats Pats Jets Jets Steelers Ravens Bengals Browns Seahawks Niners Cardinals Rams Raiders Jags I'm also unsure how asking you to defend your position makes me (or others) the defensive one(s).
  5. We just went 4-2 in the division. And face the Browns, Jags, Raiders, Ravens, Niners and Rams next year. You can't count more than seven victories there? Okay.
  6. I'm not so sure that a trip to Cincy or Houston would have been an automatic loss for NYJ or Buffalo.
  7. Certainly explains is uncertain footing throughout most of the season! Sounds like he's also making strides to prepare for life after football: http://twitter.com/mikerodak/status/684037038094565376 Good for him!
  8. Tore is groin in preseason. http://twitter.com/mikerodak/status/684035852322787328 Already had the surgery, will be back for OTA's http://twitter.com/mikerodak/status/684036213221789697

  10. THIS IS INCREDIBLE https://twitter.com/JonahJavad/status/683782119219408896/video/1
  11. LOVED IT Thanks for calling it out!
  12. Dude. Stop. 20 has had a front row seat to many back breakers in 2015.
  13. I don't change my arguments.
  14. And you don't think that losing three times as many defensive starts could by a major factor in that? You'll be hard pressed to recognize 4-8 guys on this defense today, on any given play.
  15. But see, this is the false scenario that your argument relies on. Through 15 games, it dropped in 12 spots in total points and 16 in total yards. That puts them from top to middle. I don't consider that "falling off a cliff." Save me the sack stats, please. That's not a measurement of a successful defense.
  16. Here's what we have: 2014, top 4 defense, virtually no injuries. 2015, middling defense, starters missing at every level. Most fans stop reading at the second comma. That's not to say injuries are THE cause. But if you're ignoring them, you're grasping for some other explanation to be true. What it is, I don't know. Why you want it to be true, I don't know.
  17. Your determination for making this point is admirable. Sadly, fans don't want to believe it. PFF told WGR in the offseason to expect a regression on defense, regardless who was the coach, because the 2014 health* was a statistical anomaly that was almost guaranteed to not repeat in back to back years. *Fans need to understand that the 2014 health--especially on defense--was very abnormal. Rex is a backer of everyone, so long as a microphone is in front of his mouth.
  18. Exactly. Could the Bills trade a decade's worth of first and second round picks for Aaron Rodgers? Probably. Will I be pissed when it doesn't happen? no. I think that's one thing that really gets under my skin about some fans. They make up these highly improbably scenarios (like Pettine coming back), those scenarios bounce around the echo chamber for a couple months, then when they predictably fail to come to fruition, a very vocal sect of fans will throw an unbridled **** fit.
  19. It's not going to happen period. It's not because it's "us."
  20. I'm shocked this thread doesn't already exist. Those who have not watched the series will be subjected to spoilers in this thread. Enter at your own peril. I'll go first: the ten episodes were entirely too one-sided to draw the kind of meaningful conclusions that it seems much of the audience has glommed to. This is both a testament to the craft with which the series was made given how beautiful, thorough and immersive it was. But also given that depth and gravity, and the skill with which the narrative is developed, the absence of a counterpoint weakens not only the compellingness of the series itself but also, more importantly, the case for Steven Avery's innocence. In other words, it's curious that the makers left no stone un-turned to imply his innocence, yet made no effort to flesh out the possibility of his guilt nor the reasons why so many in the community were convinced of it. Can anyone say with a clear head that Steven Avery is most certainly not the killer? http://onmilwaukee.com/movies/articles/makingamurdereralternativesuspects.html http://onmilwaukee.com/movies/articles/evidenceagainstavery.html
  21. I remember Jets fans said the same thing about the Bills right after they brought in Chan & Fitz. Wrong thread(s). Good stuff, thanks for sharing. It's always fun watching Whaley target guys, I'm excited to see where we go. Miller was definitely a bigger liability this year than Urbrik. Virtually no dropoff when the rookie's out. In fact, the line seems to improve.
  22. Which is problematic for a professional entertainer. I guess everyone here he conduct himself more like his boss? Being a dick to the media doesn't seem to have any correlation with success. That said, he's never coordinated a dominant Rex Ryan defense. So...
  23. A bit morbid, don't you think? Let's compromise. How's this?
  24. I'm not defending him. I'm putting his words back into the context he intended. I'm not justifying anything he said. I'm not praising any of it either. I'm clar--you know what? Forget it. Go ahead and set your pitch forks on fire and let's get this stupid bum out of here.
