  1. This is the first I've ever heard someone make the case for TT being anything other than "slight."
  2. People talk about Wilson being built like a brick. Ever hear anyone say that about TT?
  3. Russell Wilson might be shorter than TT, but he certainly isn't smaller. Quite the contrary. That's a very important distinction to make since the comparison is made a lot.
  4. Lost to the Giants because we couldn't stop the run!? They averaged 3.28 ypc. Relative to this conversation, we dropped the Giants game because of the offense. Period. It's not even an argument. We had 14 possessions in that game: Result (plays) Punt (3) Punt (3) FG (5) Int (1) Punt (3) Punt (3) Punt (6) Punt (3) Punt (3) Missed FG (13) Turnover on Downs (7) TD (3) Fumble (3) Turnover on Downs (14) Now, you can argue that TT wasn't to blame for all of that. I mean you can argue it. It's a stretch to say he's absolved of that abysmal performance. But to say they lost to NYG because they couldn't stop the run is categorically cuckoo. The fact that game was even remotely winnable is a testament to, not a critique of the defense.
  5. Um. You gave one. Another one that can't be ignored: he's the highest paid player in the locker room. I know things like morale and chemistry and alignment with management and alignment with ownership are magical pixie land fantasies around here, but I'd imagine it would have caused more harm than good. Lost in all of this is the fact that Mario is such a good player and such a physical specimen that his mailing it in was still a zero. Lesser guys trying much harder could have actually been more of a liability.
  6. Reasonable explanations have been given to this question many many times. Ignoring them doesn't invalidate them.
  7. I think it's perfectly reasonable, given what we know, given what's come out that Avery was framed and wrongfully convicted of a crime he probably committed.
  8. Could have called your challenge of Tucker's credibility from a mile away.
  9. In fact, the defense was one whiffed tackle away from having one of its best games of the year. Linebacker had a guy pinned to the sideline, dead to rights behind the LOS, and whiffed. Players make plays.
  10. I belive they were Ross' exact words: http://www.rosstucker.com/wp/podcasts/ross-tucker-football-podcast/ And the coaching comment was directed at most of what the 'analysis' in this thread is: a backdoor critique of Rex's system.
  11. Well, I'm not saying that. At all. I said literally nothing about entitlement.
  12. Why watch, then?
  13. These are all qualitative/speculative points that, again, in no way refute all the other points he's made.
  14. And he thoroughly refuted those assertions. You simply choose to ignore what GG has to say.
  15. You flatly ignored all his points then glossed over major personnel issues in 2015 to arrive at this point.
  16. Players make plays. Don't blame the coach if the player can't beat the guy in front of him. And every bit of analysis I've read/listened to, particularly from former o-lineman, clearly states that the tackles were obscenely overmatched on Sunday. Your circular reasoning does nothing to refute that. In fact, let's ask straight up: is Mario as good as Ware? Is Hughes as good as Miller? No. Neither.
  17. The only time Sean Payton ever coached a successful defense, his players were being paid on the side for injuring the opposition. Just saying.
  18. Enough. New England had two guys playing tackle that had no business being out there. They were matched up against DeMarcus Ware and Von Miller, two plays who were already matchup nightmares, but had the benefit of knowing the silent snap count down to a millisecond. Those two guys were in the backfield before either Cannon or what's-his-face even got out of their stances. But you're right, D-Lineman should never drop into coverage, only blitz. That's how Von Miler got his pick, after all.

  20. Of course it's clear to you. You roundly reject any/all evidence to the contrary.
  21. Well, it looks like the same opinions remain unswayed in spite of thorough evidence to the contrary.
  22. two broken flip flops at a tackle against two all-pro pass rushers who knew the silent snap count better than the o-line did?
  23. How about Gronk throwing an unmitigated **** fit on the last play of the game?
  24. Okay Got it. At first blush, seemed like the article filled in some of the questions you posed.
