"A lot of people say, `Ah, in-grown toe-nail, you can live through it,' " Smith said after Thursday night's preseason victory against Pittsburgh. "Those people are sitting their fat (butt) at a desk. But I use my feet more often than most people. That's like someone with carpal tunnel being an administrative assistant and it's strenuous on that body part."

I'm impressed that off the cuff he used the words administrative-assistant, strenuous, and carpal tunnel. Not your run-of-the-mill terminology thrown around by NFL WR's.

The drive looks pretty good on paper.
A few lapses by the OL on a couple outside runs?
Losman perfect?
McGahee running well and/or getting good holes??
Compelled by the crappy Lions defense?
Won't see the highlights till tomorrow but interested to here some opinions..

Neil Rackers:
• Established a new NFL record by connecting on 40 field goals in 2005, breaking the previous mark of 39 set by Miami’s Olindo Mare in 1999 and matched by St. Louis’ Jeff Wilkins in 2003.
• Selected to his first career Pro Bowl in 2005, joining Jim Bakken as the only Cardinal kickers so honored.
• Connected on 31 consecutive field goal attempts in 2005 to shatter the previous franchise record of 11 set by Bill Gramatica in 2001 (NFL record: 42 by Indy’s Mike Vanderjagt, 2002-04).
• Scored 140 points in 2005, the third-most in the NFL and a new franchise record, passing Neil O’Donoghue (1984) and Jim Bakken (1967) who both had 117 points.
• Despite not kicking off in the final five games of 2005, led the NFL with 22 touchbacks. Set the Cardinals franchise record for touchbacks in a season with 23 in 2004, the previous record was 19 set in 1997 by Joe Nedney and Kevin Butler.
• Established a new franchise record for field goal percentage (95.2), field goal attempts (42) and field goals made (40) in 2005.
Which explains why he signed a four-year extension towards the end of last season that will keep him under contract with the Cardinals through the 2009 season.
What can I say? I'm just a big Racker fan.

While mistakes have not helped our cause in the past couple of years, I have no problem putting the bulk of our crappiness on the coaching staff. Bad play calling. Inability to adjust AT ALL. Schemes seemingly drawn up on an Etch-a-Sketch. Poor use of personnel.
If the new crew can fix most of that, I'll feel better because penalties are something you can fix.
Bad coaching also ='s mental errors, incohesiveness, and overall lackluster teams...
Can Jauron bring The Buffalo Bills through their growing pains? I want to Billieve he can.

I once played basketball against Jovon Johnson?

I have been unable to watch a preseason game so far and I'm wondering how the defense has looked...really.
Are they running aggressive plays or just basic zone coverages to further familiarize themselves with the new package? It seems that early on QB's are having their way with the secondary. Is this because the DB's are making poor reads/decisions, are unskillful, or just playing soft coverages as per play calling??
Could it be possible that the defense is one aspect of the Bills package that has yet to be unveiled before the 06 season?? Somebody give me some answers here!

Because lately Bills' fans unfortunately love dwelling on the negative instead of forcing on the positives. There were a bunch of stupid plays but they were also great plays. A lot of fans seem to believe that the past Bills teams have some indictation on how this team will do. It's a new season and a new team. Keep hope alive.
negative...may be. anxious and impaitient is more like it

Looks like he's picking up right where he left off in 2005!
And speaking of hot feet, anyone else dig the black kicks?

How is Buffalo affected financially but the cutting of the soon-to-be third stringer (kh/nall)??
-
Why give Nall a chance if it's a rebuilding year? He's been in the NFL for 5 years and the Packers gave-up on him and drafted a replacement LAST year for Favre, and let him go this year. If anything, your argument says we should start JP regardless and if he falters, cut him next year and bring in a new guy to compete with Nall.
I agree with your point. But who can say for certain that JP is the superior quarterback at this point? Nall chose to leave Green Bay because the cards were stacked against him.
-
furthermore, if this is a rebuilding year, let's treat it as such...give Nall a chance
PS I love JP
-
okay nobody can compare the qbs because they each played against different defensive squads.
BUT! Nall DID make the most of HIS situation and I believe he deserves the nod in the third preseason game...only fair. JP didn't play well enough to secure the outright starting pos IMO

It sort of reminds me of Roger Clemens' suspicious absence during the first part of this year's MLB season...sort of
I have, however, always been a little curoius about Brady's lantern-butt-chin. And I think I've noticed a few instances of adult acne too.

Do any of you guys think that willis waisted his time losing almost 20lbs and getting his burst back because i am not so sure that even walter payton himself could gain more than 1200 yards behind a o-line like this one!!! is this guy finally going to break out or will his promise be hindered behind these trash bags?
This, of course, is assuming that our Oline is already worth giving up on. Where is this evidence?? Their performance against Carolina? Give me a break! Willis is great, the Oline is B- and improving. STOP HATING ON THE OLINE!

Every Buffalo victory will be a "fluke" acc to "Experts" unless they go 5-0. Only then will pundits take them seriously and it will be out of shear obligation.
