  1. Also, I can only imagine the rush-to-outrage if the 8-8 Bills went two straight years without a first round pick. At this point I could do the spinning for them.
  2. Your crack about him being friends with Rex's son could/was interpreted as trashing the pick.
  3. Everyone who disagrees with you (and they are many) will point to his versatility, which is where they/I believe your analysis falls short by saying he's a player we drafted to do X. The truth is (according to many other people, including our coach and GM), we drafted him to do X, Y, Z, A, B and C. I'm imagining a cross between Sean Ellis, Lamar Woodley and Mo Wilkerson. Shaq's size enables him to do many things.
  4. Which is good since Rex doesn't rush from the edge.
  5. https://twitter.com/wjxt4/status/726941052691701760 how now?
  6. Never change, Florida. Never. Change. https://twitter.com/wjxt4/status/726941052691701760
  7. To give up a first rounder and not get one in return is insane. Coach Tuesday says weird things some times.
  8. As soon as the Bills drafted Lawson I was all: Then they went up and got Ragland it was like Don't know about this Washington guy, but when I heard Cardale Jones I was all: And a Williams in the 5th? Well you know he's destined for greatness: Now I'm reading about all these stud UDFA's I like the Bills a lot. And I'm very excited for 2016. Don't tell me what to keep in check.
  9. So, their list of unusable preseason heroes doesn't detract people from thinking this "experiment" is what the Bills should do?
  10. Yep, and like I said, I understand the intrigue. I'm particularly glad he didn't end up in NE. That felt like a nightmare scenario. But the narrative for what you've described above (and you can see this coming from light years away): so we wasted a day two pick on A DECOY!!!???
  11. Miller = converted WR who'd be the fourth option (at best). I understand the intrigue, but isn't his immediate contribution debatable for any team, let alone one that runs the ball as much as we do and has a feature 1, pass-catching rb and TE that would take away targets?
  12. I can understand posters not liking the pick because of the guy, but not liking him because of the opportunity cost is absurd. Do posters really think he'll have less of an impact than the 8th OT or the 8th WR selected? Do they realize that that 8th WR selected would be--at best--the fourth option in our offense? Do they know we had the 31st most pass attempts in 2015?
  13. didn't sound dumb talking to murph
  14. Election years are a special time, aren't they? Jeanne Shaheen. Sounds made up.
  15. If there was one poster here who knew a thing or two about refrains...
  16. They really need to suck it up and understand that it's not about them, Brady, Goodell or even the league. It's about labor law.
  17. I guess I don't agree with what you seem to be suggesting is the balance of supply and demand. Of which is there a greater supply: men and women willing to play football for money? Or men and women with enough wealth to secure ownership of a team? Exactly what leverage is it that the players have here?
  18. Makes sense that in negotiation they would have conceded the dubious role of defending trouble makers. They just didn't foresee a golden child being among the DUI/woman-beating/gun at a night club crowd.
  19. Oh, we fully understood the point you were trying to make. Just because you took a shot at it doesn't make it salient.
  20. Or he needs to realize that at this point he's in a staring contest with a Patriots organization that is perfectly willing for him to be the fall guy.
  21. @AdamSchefter Tom Brady not ready to accept court ruling today - far from it, per sources. Mulling options with legal team. But this is not yet over.
  22. I'm really hoping somebody pieces together a 10 minute sizzle reel so I don't have to listen and have my blood pressure elevated for hours.
