  1. The rationale the Democratic party has thrown in opposition is SHAMEFUL. But to your point, insofar voting is free--it costs NO money. If it costs money to get an ID ($30 for my latest renewal), then voting is no longer free. If one was to oppose the measure--which I don't, I've just maintained the rationale for implementing it has been whorishly trumped--opposing the sudden "poll tax" seems to be one of the few, if not the only irrefutable stance.
  2. "Got my ass handed to me?" Is there scoreboard somewhere that nobody told me about? I haven't changed my !@#$ing position once, so let me put it in bullet points for you: Requiring ID's is not unreasonable. There is no evidence to suggest voter fraud (that's when people cast fraudulent votes, just so we're clear) is stifling the democratic process. This will result in fewer people voting, and that's the whole !@#$ing point. The add-on that I wrote this morning suggests that IF YOU HAVE TO PAY TO GET AN ID, THEN AN POLLING ID REQUIREMENT BECOMES A POLLING TAX. Why is this so !@#$ing hard for you to understand?
  3. Do you suffer from sort of topsy-turvy dislexia? You're in denial that this isn't a GOP ploy to get more votes. THAT'S what I said. And the GOP themselves have stated so. Won't bother re-linking because you'll probably miss the point of that too. OMFG you're dumb.
  4. Look, you uncompromising dolt, voter registration fraud is NOT voter fraud. Why is this so !@#$ing hard for you to grasp?
  5. To Tom's point--it would be a "voter tax" if anyone had to pay a cent to obtain anything which allows them to vote. To anyone who thinks enacting an ID mandate wouldn't suppress voter turnout: you're wrong. To anyone who thinks suppressing voter turnout is unquestionably harmful: you're also wrong. To anyone who thinks a voter ID requirement isn't aimed at suppressing a very specific voter bloc: you're wrong too. To anyone who thinks this isn't a deliberate tactic of the GOP to help them win election: you're in denial.
  6. We're still scared of the Muslim Brotherhood? Then I'll bet gay Muslims must have nightmares thinking about Methodists.
  7. Just renewed my drivers license two days ago. Cost me $30. Just sayin'
  8. Amazing how despicable comments made by a pol who's more conservative than liberal can be turned back as being the fault of liberals. In- !@#$ing -credible.
  9. You call it horrible, I call it strategic. Either way, it was ugly as sin. So no, Teen Angel, that play should NOT have made the final cut.
  10. This should be required daily viewing from now until the season opener.
  11. It's 20 pounds LESS than what I do...true story.
  12. Right, and I've said many many many times: I think it's perfectly reasonable to ask for ID at polling stations. I'm sure you understood my original comment differently from your response.
  13. No. We stopped issuing licenses to people like you years ago.
  14. Sounds like Homeland Security/Secret Service bureaucracy/ass-covering to me. I doubt it's the Democratic Party's bidding... But, I've been wrong before!
  15. What would a Canada Goose know about baseball!?
  16. Come on, bro. One unpopular question does not a worldview make!
  17. Did you doctor that? Or are American voters now 100% libertarian!?
  18. That was the game when the power went off at the Ralph. That was also the most important play K. Mitchell ever made in a Bills uniform--ouch.
  19. May be Mario Williams helped recruit him...
  20. I see you and I don't share many of the same views!! I missed the party breakdown first time through. Mine was: Green 80% Democratic 71% Libertarian 69% Republican 13% I'm shocked at how distant my views are from the GOP's, especially since I always viewed the Libertarians as purified Republicans, but my similarities with them would suggest otherwise...
  21. You can take the survey here: http://www.isidewith.com/presidential-election-quiz I'm interested to see everyone's results. Here are mine: Jill Stein (Green) 80% Barack Obama (Dem) 71% Gary Johnson (Lib) 70% Ron Paul (?) 68% Stewart Alexander (Socialist) 62% Jimmy McMillan (The Rent is Too Damn High) 23% Virgil Goode (Constitution) 20% Mitt Romney (GOP) 13% American Voters 59%
  22. I'm friends (begrudgingly) with a Pats* fan (kidding, he's actually a great guy), and the topic of why they let him go came up over the weekend. His answer was simply: I don't know. If there was some locker room drama or some off the field shenanigans that would have led to his dismissal, I'm confident my buddy would have known about them...
  23. I've tried to reassure myself with the same justifications, believe me. Though I suppose they're both sound reasons it's never been discussed before.
  24. Haha, I expected as much in return. Honestly, the thought never even occurred to me until my buddy (also a Bills fan) brought it up while we were partying Friday night (who's the tool now?). The moment the words escaped his lips, my heart dropped to the floor.
