  1. Signing a proven vet (who single-handedly won his team a super bowl), that knows the offense well enough and already has chemistry with the QB? Hilarious? Yeah, he gets hurt a lot. But when's actually available, the dude is a game changer.
  2. Anyone upset by this is beyond hope.
  3. Brady was on fire yesterday. Just like Fitz was against NYJ. Doesn't refute your point, and I don't altogether disagree with what you're saying. But when Brady is on fire...what the !@#$ are you going to do about it? Let's be honest. He was 8/8 for 149 yards and 2TD's on third down yesterday. We'd be over the moon to get that kind of production from TT in a GAME.
  4. It doesn't seem as though any amount of information will encourage you to feel differently about our coach or our players.
  5. Hogan TD was Gilmore's fault: https://twitter.com/SalSports/status/793191531888930816 Sal Capaccio @SalSports Rex basically confirms it was Stephon Gilmore's "big mistake" on the Hogan TD.
  6. ...if you have the greatest QB of all time.
  7. Meeks left to double Edleman on a shallow route.
  8. Is this seriously an argument? It's like arguing which was the better Jaws sequel.
  9. Blaming the coaches for EJ was as preposterous then as it is now. How's that? I was adamant about it in 2014, and nothing has happened to change my mind. There was a tiny moment when a sound byte made it seem like his head was being messed with, but he's been the same QB through separate regimes. And, oh by the way, he's the exact QB that his biggest critics coming out of FSU said he'd be. Coaches my foot.
  10. I think playing Cardale this season would be a grave mistake. I say this with virtually no knowledge of his progression. But, if he was as unready as he was made out to be, then feeding him to the wolves could be a significant step back to whatever development he's already achieved. I think we've seen this scenario play out enough to know that QBs aren't likely to learn from getting shredded by the "bullets." They're more likely to regress.
  11. Is the 2015 Karlos Williams available? Or were we talking about the fat, obnoxious pothead that exists in *this* dimension?
  12. I'm sure he and Kim made a video.
  13. On the list of the top 1000 things Gilmore has done to disappoint me this year, not being a vocal veteran leader may come in at 1010.
  14. Two years in a row the defense has crumbled in the absence of AW.
  15. Right, but who's communicating what? None of us know. Period. The less wise will jump to the conclusion that it's a "coaching" issue. And yet none of this happened in the first seven games with AW back there. Save for the Torrie Smith TD against SF...a busted play involving...oh, you know. GILMORE.
  16. Consecutive three and outs. Is there still resistance to their effect? Seriously?
  17. I'm also quite vexed at the longevity of this myth.
  18. Just awful. My mom's sister in Buffalo is pretty far along and way too young. Just awful.
  19. It's not actually. I'm not sure why you're guessing at my argument when I've been crystal !@#$ing clear about it.
  20. Well, again: poor run defense gave up 6 points through 2.5 quarters. What happened in the last 1.5 that changed suddenly? The answer is simple: they were !@#$ing gassed because the offense wasn't ever on the field. Then the wheels came off. In that sense it WAS the majority factor. Until they got gassed they were keeping points off the board. How's that for hope?
  21. I hear you. But it was a one play drive after the defense had been on the field for five then three plays. It's fair to say going back out for a third possession after the offense had only run seven plays to that point in the half is consistent within this context. I thought the game was over when Goodwin scored. So I won't say that any TD is the wrong play. The above serves only to answer your question. To your latter point, you're right, it's not ALL about TT. I don't know why they went away from the run game. They deserve some measure of critique for that. But saying that offense is run or perish does, then, put the onus back to TT.
  22. you can marginalize it by using that term all you want. but he's absolutely right.
  23. i was disappointed they didn't add to safety depth this offseason. i was more disappointed that nobody was brought in to compete for a starting job. but that's a whaley issue.
