  1. No. But neither is appeasing an intangible deity by letting a mother die from pregnancy complications.
  2. Bravo, GOP. Bravo. http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2012/08/20/first-on-cnn-gop-prepares-tough-anti-abortion-platform/
  3. It's gotta be exhausting being the GOP **** talking toadie in chief.
  4. This again? If--in fact--they have denounced him it's because a.) it was a bat **** stupid thing to say and marginalizes/cheapens/dismisses what is indisputably the most traumatic event of a rape victim's life. or b.) As I said last night, the GOP cannot get pulled into a turd-flinging contest over abortion because they will lose if social issues, and not the economy, is the focus. They know it. I know it. You know it. And Dems know it. If you want to take it a step further and suggest it's in the Dems interest to keep this at the surface, I would agree. I would also agree that it's a cheap, opportunistic pot shot [intentional] distraction...but, such is politics!
  5. I have no response. I just wanted to point out how stupid your argument was. I have better things to do than monitor the conservative response to this looney tunes. If you say they've denounced him, then good for them. Anything less, would be uncivilized.
  6. Right, accept the fate of Guam, and the naming of hurricanes isn't championed on the national scale by...anyone. And certainly not in the same divisive way that abortion is.
  7. As I mentioned before, I'm on a life-quest to discover as many worthy varieties as I can, so I never flinch at the opportunity to gain some knowledge on the subject...
  8. To what end, brah?
  9. Two fingers, one cube. A purist would take it neat.
  10. Elmer T. Lee A label named for themasterdistiller at Buffalo Trace. Only $35 a bottle. That's a good start. :-)
  11. I pity the man who strays from the endless quest to broaden his bourbon horizons.
  12. Never mind his thoughtful admission that he did in fact misinterpret me. Never let reality get in the way of you looking like an empty headed blowhard.
  13. No problem.
  14. Haha. Well, I did NOT say I wanted this to stay an issue. I said Repubs should be PISSED that he made it an issue because they're bound to lose on it...
  15. What is it you think I said? I'm making a real attempt at productivity here...
  16. I think we're having a serious communication breakdown here...
  17. Well, that's the opposite of what I said. I think my exact words were "the GOP should have this ass hat's head on a spike."
  18. Bourbon drinker? What's your fancy?
  19. First answer: touch.chicagotribune.com/#section/524/article/p2p-71894828/ Dumb? I could have SWORN this election was the GOP's for the taking so long as it was a referendum on the Econ,y. Why don't you dispute rather than insult?
  20. First: what he said was so patently ignorant/stupid/offensive this SHOULD dominate the news cycle, ESPECIALLY by 2012 standards (fwiw) Second: GOP cheerleaders shouldn't be looking for ways to defuse this by scolding the offended. This was a serious mistake that ought not be dismissed/excused by Repubs. Instead, the GOP should have this ass hat's head on a spike for flubbing so bad as to take the attention off the economy and onto the antiquated social issue abortion--in that arena Repubs will get SLAYED.
  21. Vince Young: questionable quarterback, tremendous football player. I'd never bet against the guy, but it sure isn't pretty.
