I hear you. While I LOVE video games, I must say, even though I miss them once in a while, any void their absence might have left has been amply filled by much more enriching activities.

Yeah the excerpt that jumped out to me re: LB Chris Carter He was unimpressive in this game as he pressured the quarterback on two of his 16 pass rushes, but neither was a particularly dominating. Sixteen pass rushes!? That sounds like a pretty aggressive game plan to me. Unless I'm mistaken, and at his LB position he's the fourth rusher on every passing attempt...

I've been reading a lot of people saying Vince Young is "washed-up" or that he's "lost his mojo," but quite frankly I don't believe that's the case. There's no doubt in my mind that if Fitz was injured during the Super Bowl, down 5 with 1:34 in regulation, that Vince Young would march down the field and put the ball in the endzone for the win. The guy is a gamer. He turns it on when he has to. Problem is: when he doesn't have "it" "turned on," he's lazy, careless, and downright unfocused. We all know how good he is when he turns it on, we all watched him--literally--drag Texas to a national championship. So why does it take pressure situations, prime time exposure for his lights to go on? I'm left with little doubt, that this was the mental weakness his coaches in Tennessee and Philadelphia also grew weary of. I still believe he could be one of the best quarterbacks in the game. He could be one of those guys who "just wins TM." But the only thing stopping him is him. Shocked that he's struggling in the preseason? I'm not. These games don't matter, he has no urgency out there, and without urgency the guy looks like he simply doesn't care. This was his last chance to show the world what he can do. But he blew it. What a shame. All the physical talent in the world...

Watched the starters twice lastnight: Fitz And Stevie were not on the same page: 6 straight incompletions. We will never see that between these two when it counts...

Me: Why do cells get the right to choose but the mother doesn't? Rob: Because cells get the right to choose. I guess we disagree that the choice to have non-procreating intercourse is one that must come with consequences. And I said before, seems unfair that those "consequences" really only affect mom, and not the father. Plus, there's no end to examples of people who DID take the right precautions, but one swam through anyway. Also, I don't want to dispute whether or not a child has "innocence." But that's an awfully subjective quality--one that should not be the basis of legislation the remits rights from somebody who is--in fact--living, breathing and making decisions (whether you agree with them or not).

How is it that folks think the "developing person," the "cluster of cells," the "living" creature inside a woman deserves more benefit of the doubt than the woman herself? How does its "right to live" trump her right to not bring a child into the world? Especially when nobody can definitively say whether or not it's "living." And if we're so damn adamant about "life," then I come back to my bug on the windshield question. Where does it end?

Yes, we are coming back to the group of cells who--quite frankly--are aren't "deciding" jack ****. And won't be "deciding' jack **** until months after they take their first breath as an actual human. So I'm going to defer to the adult on who is better equipped to "decide" anything. But I come back to those "consequences" being specific to the woman. And quite frankly i don't want to live in a world where the ladies lock their knees and make the beast with two backs for procreation only. That might work for some of you guys, but...
