  1. And I actually wish I hadn't posted in haste because the author calls it both mistake and error--I firmly think it was the latter, and that there's a clear distinction between the two. Note: It was an error in today's political climate, two months before an election, when it's not about guts, convictions and "principles," when it's just a glorified head count, and when Christian voters guided by the bible outnumber aethist voters, then it's an "error" to alienate a voter block that way. Acknowledging this error does not, however, mean that I personally think they were right to put God back in. In fact I think they were right to leave he/she/it out in the first place. But if those dimwits care about winning the election, there's got to be some God 'n-dere.
  2. Oh? Is this news to you? Welcome to reality. But...Just for fun: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W_pgfWK3sxw ALSO: http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/blogs/national-affairs/mitt-romneys-biggest-flip-flops-20120801 http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2012/may/18/politifacts-guide-mitt-romneys-flip-flops/ And it's not just tree-hugging pinkos who have observed Willard's inability to make up his mind: http://www.lessgovisthebestgov.com/mitt-romney-flip-flops.html I mean, c'mon. This can't seriously be new to you...
  3. The whole ordeal was spinelessness at its most pathetic, much like Romney's meandering "principles"...
  4. That video demonstrates--quite clearly--how much he improved from year one to two. Jesus Christ. Is it Sunday yet?
  5. They BOOED because their will was subverted. Their reasoning for wanting God and pro-Israel out is not cut and dry, so there's no "math" to be done. In fact, I agree with what this guy has to say: http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/guest-voices/post/the-godless-democrats-again/2012/09/05/623f662c-f76e-11e1-8398-0327ab83ab91_blog.html The point is this: as much some atheists, separationists and conservative Christians would like it to be so, the absence of a divine reference in the party platform was an accident—an error that masks the Democrats often troubling turn to faith-based politics and pandering.
  6. Haha, what a ****head you have for a mayor, my condolences--though I'm sure you feel the same way about Rahmbo. From your original post on the matter, I hadn't realized this was the sequence of events that led to said booing. Either way, I trust my instincts when they tell me you were looking for an opportunity to rebel rouse under the SEE! SEE! DEMS HATE GOD! banner. So, at the very least, asking for clarification has scaled back your intent.
  7. I'm sorry, what was your interpretation? C'mon! This is your big moment!
  8. On a scale of 1-10 Our defense = 8 Their offense = 4 Their defense = 9 Our offense =6 We win.
  9. I have a question. What do you interpret those boos to be? Because I guarantee it's not how I interpret them, which means neither you nor I are completely correct.
  10. Right, insult me all you want, I really don't care. You asked a dumbass question for which there is simply no dumbass answer. Do his questions represent inherent contradictions glommed to by some of the party's dimmer supporters? Yes, that was the whole !@#$ing point of the video. For some unbeknownst reason you've decided to put me in a position of defending them and/or the Dem platform. As I don't intend to vote for Obama (or any Democrat, in any election), and since no views they hold would ever encourage me to vote for a Republican either, I haven't the foggiest if his questions represent the Democratic position--whatever the !@#$ that means--because I don't really give a **** enough about Democrats to get a firm grasp on what their position is. One of these days, one of these days, I swear to God, you'll discover an original, interesting, constructive thought. You'll somehow find a way to engage folks on this message board in a thoughtful, meaningful way. I have faith in you. You can do it!
  11. The Democrats have planked their platform...with questions? I don't understand what you're getting at, and quite frankly I don't care to get to the bottom of it.
  12. Headline from January 5, 2013: Aaron Maybin named NFL Defensive MVP "Turns out all I had to do was act like Mario Williams. Who knew?"
  13. Smash cut to Maybin sitting in front of a mirror, shaving his hairline to look receding, rehearsing a North Carolinian drawl.
  14. No, that's not how I know that!
  15. I have a sense of humor, so I laugh at both of them. But that was never the issue.
  16. I'm saying he posted the footage of the Dems who don't know **** from shinola. And once again you've managed to agree by disagreeing. The hypocrisy I was pointing out was the reaction the video got as opposed to the reaction the tea party videos get. Certainly there are plenty of posters here who know full-well that both sides of the aisle are teeming with nimrods. But when you find delight in one mocking video over another...you're either a.) hypocrite or b.) blindly loyal to the talking points parroted by your team's nincompoops.
  17. Are you amendable to changing your mind on this? Because--while I understand where you're coming from, it's not tactically prudent. A game is four quarters long. What you do in the first quarter, what you do on your first DRIVE can be easily negated, and it often is (see last year's Patriot's game, parts one AND two). However, with proper time management (thank god Dick's gone), getting the ball to start the second half gives you the opportunity to score as many as 14 (well, 16) points without your opponent getting the ball. This is an enormously advantageous way to start the second half of a close game, it's crucial to momentum and it gives you the opportunity to surge during the part of the game where tactical adjustments are most critical. In other words, first drives are rarely an indication of things to come, and their outcome--in most cases--has very little bearing on the rest of the game (see: Jauron era first drive success rate)
  18. I'm glad to see this board is once again fans of smart asses with microphones preying on idiotic convention zealots. You guys must get a real bang out of Pelosi's kid.
  19. DEFER...ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS DEFER!! WHY IS THIS AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH FANS? IT'S A NO-BRAINER!
  20. I don't know that. But I am happy to have taught you something about Jewish people.
  21. By this logic Orthodox Jews shouldn't have to contribute to the tax pools that help pay cities' Saturday electricity usage. Don't work that way, holmes.
  22. Yes, but only for minorities. That's a lot of unsolved hate crimes...
  23. Why stop at minorities? http://wildandwonderfulwhites.com/
