  1. Precisely my first thought. Everyone here calling Gailey "clueless" (even though he was 23 minutes away from being a "genius."), let's keep in mind that he, like all our active 53, Wanny, Moorman, the replacement officials, and the ball boy who ate **** on Sunday going after a wayward punt (how has THAT not been mentioned yet?)--they're all human. They all have families, they all have lives outside football, just like all of us. They have emotions, they have loved-ones and they, like all of us, will some day expire. The least we can do is take a moment and consider the man and his family as they go through this difficult time. GO BILLS!
  2. Knowing would take the thrill/agony of watching every Sunday...
  3. If Fitzpatrick throws for 150 yards twice then 500 once, you wouldn't call him a 260 y/g-type quarterback. Likewise, I wouldn't say our team averages 2 turnovers/game, because, as this AFCE data shows, they tend to come in bunches. When the wheels come off, they come off BIG TIME, no greater evidence than Sunday.
  4. Been a way for a while, but does that seem right?
  5. Yes there is. And wait, you mean to say Brady plays better at home than on the road? Only a 60% win percentage on the road? Yes, it's definitely the playing surface.
  6. OH THE HUMANITY!! http://www.wfae.org/post/gop-hired-company-also-suspected-faking-registrations-mecklenburg http://articles.chicagotribune.com/2012-09-28/news/sns-rt-us-usa-campaign-voterregistrationbre88r1gl-20120928_1_voter-registration-nathan-sproul-registration-drives http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/politics/sns-more-problematic-gop-voter-forms-are-found-in-florida-20120929,0,1835403.story
  7. I thought it was Jauron's fault...
  8. How to spot a bad coach: If you turn on ESPN and he's one of the regular panelists, you've just completed step one. Step 2: Tun on the NFL Network, if you spot one there, you've nearly completed our test. Step 3: Log onto TSW, and check and see if there are any posters touting an ex-coach with a television gig. If yes, ignore everything they say, and toss all their nominees on the "bad coach" pile.
  9. Great point. Carry on, I've got some extra tinfoil if y'all need it.
  10. And this is why I hate Tom Brady and hope he shovels **** in Hell. Guy can't go one day without being a cocky prick. I know the disciples among us will use this opportunity to remind us he's earned that "swagger," but that's simply not justification. Ever see Brees, Rodgers, Manning act this way? Hell. No. And they have just as much, if not more license than Marcia to do so. After all, they've each won a Super Bowl since Tom Tom's last.
  11. Interesting...the "nothing to lose" mentality borders on desperation though, and I'm not sure I'm there YET (see below). The Patriots* scored 45 points in 23 minutes. We didn't get kicked around for the 37 minutes prior. Something happened, and happened big time. There were fumbles, there were picks, but we did NOT get beat up and down the field, in fact, for MOST of the game, we were doing the ass-kicking. If it had been a jailbreak for the word 'go,' then something would have to give, but at the very least they demonstrated the ability to get up and stay up on the Patriots.* I'm not exactly sure how, when or why the wheels officially came off, but the game was more akin to the lead car bursting into flames five laps before the finish then an old-fashioned beat-down.
  12. Okay okay okay, we've had two embarrassing losses to division opponents. If you believe there's no reason to celebrate after a fast start, the reverse must apply to a slow start. Both losses were a result of over-keying and under-adjusting (over-played the run against Jets, they passed to their hearts content, over-played the pass against Pats*, hosted a track meet). May be Wanny should come down from the booth. May be Mario should spend the rest of 2012 Sunday to Sunday chained to a pole next to squat rack and a bench press, in a dark, moldy basement lit by a single candle, living off one serving of raw hamburger meat a day. Or may be Wanny should be fired. But seriously: who would replace him? If Chan is fired (or demoted to OC, which would be a better move, IMO), who replaces him There's no coaching heir-apparent on staff right now, so a midseason switch would be a veritable blow-up. Do you really think the organization is ready to forfeit the season four weeks in??
  13. Let's be clear, it was 45 points in LESS THAN 24 MINUTES. The Woodhead touchdown came with 8 minutes to go in the 3rd. WTF!? SERIOUSLY WTF?
  14. Somebody at the table near us ordered chips and salsa.
  15. Ever come to TSW and all you find is lugubrious, loquacious topics started by some guy named Derek? Yeah...that's right. Lugubrious and loquacious.
  16. Moats and Sheppherd were nowhere to be found-- they've been instrumental to our run D.
  17. QBs put Wrs in a position to catch & run.
  18. LIstened to some NE* talk radio the other (Thursday) and they were saying how it odd it was for Mankins to sit out of practices, that he's just never done that over his career, and that if he missed practice again on Friday, something was seriously up. Take it fwiw...
  19. When was the last time Bills fans were this optimistic for the *Pats game?
  20. I got nothing to hide.
  21. Right. He was silent. But deadly.
