  1. As I said before, Ralphy gone, new coaches in? C'mon. Nobody can walk away at a time like that!
  2. And as I've already said: Part of it Byrd wanting to come back. With new coordinators, new everything, there is legitimate uncertainty whether this is a ship he wants to be aboard.
  3. For the last few months there's a been a consensus here--a rarity--that Byrd was an offseason priority. He's coming back next year, yet the ding-dongs who have to **** on every parade have still found something to B word about. Give it a rest, fellas.
  4. I think it'll take 6-7.5/year for 5 years with 15 guarnteed for Levitre to stay.
  5. It's a win-win. Byrd gets decent money. The Bills get him in a contract year with the opportunity to feel-out the new "culture." It's a great audition for the coaches, one that Byrd is prudent to put them through BEFORE he signs that long deal. He would have been foolish to sign long term now.
  6. Let's hope not. That would be categorically false.
  7. Agreed, but he's going to test the waters, we know this. So the real question isn't whether they will or won't, but how much is too much?
  8. OKAY SERIOUSLY: Copy the URL from THE TIME STAMP so it links to the TWEET and NOT THE ENTIRE TIMELINE Like this:
  9. Just because I pointed out how unjustifiably cranky you--a voluntary sports fan--are, doesn't mean I'm satisfied with the status quo.
  10. How exactly are you enforcing 'change' on a professional sports team by bitching on a message board? Have you and BillsVet have stopped by tickets/merchandise? You've stopped boosting the televised ratings for the NFL at large?
  11. You can deflect it all you want. But I think it's a legitimate request/question. Why waste time and energy on something you're just going to be cranky about?
  12. That ball comes out fast, for sure. Passes are crisp, but not always perfect, throws behind the receiver a lot. A LOT of throws to the flat. And he sorta "wings" it a bit--not the best throwing mechanics in the world. Two deep sideline passes in the first four minutes, both pretty decent.
  13. Yeah, and I'd like to reel it in a bit, because I was always a big TMcGee fan. George Wilson was also a product of the organization--converted practice squad WR, started for--what?--six seasons? But he found himself a job right away, not surprising. Barnett had two medicore years of service, so I don't care about him. But TMcGee also didn't fit into our future plans, and I would have liked to have seen him get the sendoff that Kelsay did. I was always a big fan, would have liked to have seen him get his props. Who knows, perhaps in three weeks, he'll retire and the Bills will do it then. But he deserved to be celebrated more than Kelsay, IMO. And I think he's a tad foolish for believing something better will come along.
  14. You really think those knees will get him through a training camp, four preseason games and an entire regular season so he can live that dream? Now THAT'S optimism.
  15. Yeah, I just don't know if training camp conditions are an ample predictor for game success, as far as kickers go. As for McGee, I understand he doesn't want to retire, but on those bum wheels (his money makers), he really should. Drafted a Bill, ten miserable years in Bills service, oft injured and well beyond his prime. Aside from a little bit of coin, why wouldn't you leave with the guy who brought ya and retire a Bill.
  16. I would be SHOCKED if Terrence McGee is on an NFL roster come week 6 of 2013. He had 10 solid years, why not hang it up honorably a la Chris?
  17. Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay be, he's pretty darned reliable at a position that doesn't allow much wiggle room. Here's my Kelsay-retiring summary: Kelsay was an honorable, hardworking, dedicated man. He couldn't read a misdirection for ****. Kelsay survived four regime changes, becoming a role model and leader in each of the last two. He couldn't make a backfield, open field tackle for ****. Kelsay was IR'd with neck injury--sheesh. He was slower than ****. Kelsay announced his retirement through an official statement that went through the Buffalo Bills organization. He then did a sit-down video interview that was pumped through the organization's communication channels, along with a "through the years" photo gallery. That's all bull ****. Classy bull ****, but bull ****, nonetheless. But, it gave him a chance to ride into the Buffalo sunset, and good for him, I wish him well. Meanwhile, how did the alternative workout for his ten-year defensive teammate Terrence McGee? McGee was let go with little-to-no fanfare or pageantry, and remains out of work. I won't tell you what did or did not happen at OBD, because we only have the evidence above to substantiate any claim, but do the math. He wasn't forced into retirement, but you're kidding yourself if you think it was a one way conversation--Chris to OBD.
  18. What a noble and earth-shattering contribution to the modern zeitgest.
  19. When will these people ever learn to behave themselves? I mean seriously, somebody needs to sit the gay community down and tell them that this is simply unacceptable.
  20. Well the player source happened to be on that side of the ball (quite a bit)...so...yeah....
  21. Great. The with you two off the bandwagon before draft and FA even starts, there will be two fewer miserable schlubs to ruin the Sundays of fellow Bills fans here in 2013...
  22. Exactly, and neither do they. Unfortunately, what's the real value in moving up?? Ultimately the "better" "higher" draft pick is really only guarantees one thing: that he'll cost more money.
  23. True, on all accounts. But the Niner's GM also indicated that having 15 draft picks is a waste--that they'd be looking to burn some...some way...some how.
