We all agree that the guy has had a bunch oh boners coaching him on D, yet we also agree that they knew precisely how and where to coach Leodis McKelvin, and that any performance that belied his value as the no. 8 overall pick is on him and only him.
That makes NO sense. Pick one reality and go with it.
This is a great signing for the Bills. Leodis brings it on gameday, he brings an intensity and a passion that very few of our defenders have during his tenure. He also has the kind of size and athleticism that one can only be born with.
If Mike Pettine has confidence in him, and NOT Wilson/Barnett, then I trust this staff--unlike their predecessors will tap much of Leodis' as-yet un-realized potential.
Let me pose the hypothetical which led me to start the thread in the first place (because if there's one matter at hand, this would be it):
Who would you rather have sharing the load with CJ (because I think we all agree, CJ, even with MORE carries, won't come close to the 300 mark)?
a.) Fred Jackson
b.) Stephen Jackson
For me, the answer is b. Hence my interest in starting a conversation.
S. Jackon = blood.
F. Jackson = sweat.
Spiller = tears.
Sounds like STL will let him be had, but he wants to be with a contender.
I'd rather see him as a Bill than see him where I'm certain he'll end up otherwise: New England.
Hahaha...the horse? THAT was your takeaway?
Don't get me wrong--the person(s) who own this place must b certifiably insane, but the horse might be the least crazy thing in there!
That's real funny.
Two things:
It's Ackroyd doing his schtick, which he does in those episodes...A LOT.
-BUT-
The sketches brevity is something the vast majority of other sketches should take note of.
Nice find.
Just killed a solid 40 at work:
Seattle, San Fran, Oakland, San Diego
Arizona, Dallas, Houston, New Orleans
Denver, KC, STL, Min
Green Bay, Chicago, Indy, Cincy
Tennessee, Charlotte, Washington, Baltimore
Atlanta, Jax, TB, mIAMI
Philly, NY, NY, NE
Agreed. May be a 5 man front????
I just think we're in for some wacky, exotic stuff.
Well, you heard it here first!
Bill from NYC meets the big grabber.
Dareus/KW williams the only two down-lineman? Stranger things have happened?
Okay, this seals it for me.
I think Pettine's goal is to architect an EXTREMELY DB heavy defense. I think we should expect to see 5-7 DB's on the field 90% of the time, so he can disguise blitzes and coverages with a ton of little guys running around the backfield.
Any one else getting this sense???
Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay be. But lest we forget, they're not in need of draft picks (a) and may be the organization that drafted him, faced with two interchangeable offers, put the decision in AS's hands...
