  1. Plenty of teams with 1 or 0 signings thus far (though I'm sure in the time it took to put this together, it's already out of date)
  2. I believe there are still teams who have signed zero players. EDIT, there are SEVERAL teams who haven't signed outside players...chart coming
  3. Not banking on it either, but the dude has clearly been working on getting in shape...for what, or to do what, I guess we'll have to find out. Looking less like an NT, though...
  4. Dude looks skinny, says he's twice as strong as he was a year ago... VIDEO: http://telly.com/72UMLJ
  5. Go big or go home! I went home for a bit, then decided to go big.
  6. And I'm sure someday there will be an NBA center named Ari Silverstein...
  7. Gambling is a lot easier when it's somebody else's money.
  8. That's more what I was getting at... Is there strategy to get razor close to the cap now, cut for casualties later? I just can't wrap my head around their plan being "long term."
  9. WTF is going on down there!?
  10. So if you know better, what are you doing wasting your time on a message board? Is it possible that everyone is wrong but you? May be.
  11. I've said the exact same thing at least twice. Once already today: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/156506-karlos-dansby/#entry2753322 Great minds!!
  12. Except his intangibles totally belied his measureables, and to me, he seemed like a no-brainer, outside the first round. Smart. Leader. Proven success in major conferences (2!). Buddy's was a mistake, you're absolutely right about that. But there were plenty of people, myself included, who were not in the least bit surprised by his rookie success.
  13. There were posters aplenty who thought Russel Wilson would be there for the taking in the fourth round...others thought he'd slide as far the fifth. I said then that they were completely insane, that he'd definitely go in the third, and that I wouldn't have even minded him coming to us in the second. The 20/20 hindsight on Wilson for the last three months has been astonishing.
  14. Well, that makes no !@#$ing sense given what we all know: that next year's QB crop is slated to be exceptionally better...
  15. There are two possibilities--this being one of them, and it's HIGHLY likely. The other is what we've been saying all along: we'll have some sort of mass of roving, indistinguishable DB's and "position" won't mean diddly.
  16. Trade up with what? We have six picks. Is Geno so good that you mortgage the entire draft to get him? Buddy himself said (on the wire tap) that their six picks are precious.
  17. We only have 6 draft picks--meaning we have little to offer in trade, and our limited resources might dictate how we allocate them--i.e. not spending a third of our picks on one position knowing half of them will NOT have an impact.
  18. Those stats, taken in a vacuum, would suggest that the exchange was practically tit for tat.
  19. File this thread's title under: NO ****
  20. As a stop gap, we could do FAR worse. He would be a prime example of what I mentioned the other day: the Bills aren't squatting on the FA's we knew would be available, they're looking to make improvements by signing up roster/cap casualties that will come with less market competition and at a better price.... He's 32. He might not be "cheap," but I doubt he'd be "expensive."
  21. Haha, yeah, it's departure from THE message, hopefully the TBD Gods will be merciful.
  22. The contrarian in me used to argue that Andrew Luck would never live up to the hype. Well, looks like the kill will be pretty good. I was wrong. Carry on.
  23. Methinks Bruce Arians has learned the value of waiting for the right QB---i.e. not reaching for one this year if you can avoid it. He had a front row seat for the Suck for Luck campaign--17 weeks of misery for 10+ years of success...which reminds...
  24. How is his failure not an indictment on what I've been saying about Marcia for years: That if not for his coach, his defense, and his offensive line, Tom Brady would be less than half the quarterback he is today. We needed a control group, Cassel was precisely that, he finished out 2008 10-6 (Bills haven't had a record that good since the turn of the millenium), and now he's completely nose-dived without the Pats* support staff.
