  1. Squamos-cell carcinoma in his upper jaw.
  2. According to the alert I just got, yes.
  3. Said foolishness is what makes him a dynamic/dangerous player.
  4. No need to "dominate" but they are in the same ballpark. It's safe to say Stevie won't be pulling his **** anymore. I think it goes without saying that I'm very, very pleased about that.
  5. That's fair since I've heard even the truest believers admit that it doesn't "hold up."
  6. Also: Blues Brothers, not funny.
  7. Had Nassib as the highest rated quarterback. Not so much with EJ. Hmmmmm...
  8. Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Spaceballs: Spaceballs is in a DISTANT third. Starship Troopers is wonderfully hokey. Yes, the acting is silly bad. But the writing, by no means, is subpar. Allow me to toss this on the fire: Speaking of Ron Howard, Apollo 13 kinda sucked.
  9. Talk is cheap. Until he shows up on gameday, he hasn't done ****. sorry, just had to be the first to say it.
  10. If we're going after plunderers, then the Buccaneers, Raiders and Vikings are all screwed. Somebody out there is no doubt related to a woman who was (long ago) raped by a Viking. Just sayin'
  11. I guess I get caught on the other assertion though (one we all know to be true) that he doesn't possess elite leaping ability, and he's not going to beat anyone with his straight-away speed (we've seen him rundown many times AFTER he's burned the guy on his route. So, without those very important attributes, I'm wondering how specific his skill set is to the scheme, and if that skillset is SO specific, how often will he get the looks/touches that he got in the past? Lest we also forget, that between Woods and Rogers, we HAVE the kind of skillsets and physical attributes that have been missing since he's been aboard.
  12. Can we stop calling these guys "wide receivers?" I mean, yes, if the starting corps all eats the fish and are too violently ill to take snaps, may be then he's a "wide receiver." Can we just come up with another name? Is "special teamer" so wrong?
  13. Stevie--a 7th round pick--is something of an anomaly. Which is why I'm still worried he'll regress (statistically) this year. I truly believe that during years 2010-12 (his best--nay, only notable years) he was the great benefactor of a perfect offensive storm of Gailey & Fitz, one that allowed him to improvise. I know it's kind of a ****ty comparison, but most wide receivers excel with a specific quarterback (see: Evans/Losman) and struggle to find their mojo once a new guy is in town. Stevie, like the article says, does a lot of things exceptionally well. But also as the article states, he's not going to burn anyone down the field or out-muscle them for the ball. His skills rely primarily on the offense's tactical approach. Whether Marrone/Hackett/Manuel (or Kolb/Jackson) can capitalize on Stevie's talents (or whether or not they need to with so many other weapons available) remains unseen, IMO.
  14. To answer your question, no. I don't find veterans missing OTA's "odd." And to your implication, I don't find it troubling either.
  15. I'm still waiting for someone to tell me why Redskins is offensive and the Betheny College Swedes are not. Or why Redskins is offensive and the Yeshiva Maccabees are not.
  16. Agreed that it's political chicanery, same old same old. But to be fair to them, the team is in their backyard (assuming they're in session).
  17. I loved how Nix got flamed here after falling for something he never should have expected. What those guys did was mad shady, immeasurably unethical and as we're about to find out, borderline illegal. I doubt they're found guilty of anything, though.
  18. Jason Peters caught JP Losman's first TD throw. That is all.
  19. Why is it offensive? And why would anyone name themselves the Jews? As I mentioned already in this thread, Indians of all kinds have been chosen as mascots a.) because their culture is deeply rooted in the geographies that call the teams home and b.) because they're associated with tenacity and bravery. But I digress. "Jew" would be offensive to Long Island because the place is predominately Jewish? Then you must be in an uproar about this: http://www.yumacs.co...0802113402.aspx Also, what about Bethany College? They're not JUST the Swedes, they're the Terrible Swedes. GASP http://www.bethanyswedes.com/ Is it offensive to be named after that ethnicity? Is it offensive to refer to Swedes as terrible?
  20. I hate to think that we'll start beating the Patriots just in time for the Boston-faithful to remind us it didn't happen until the twilight of Brady's career when the team suffered from injuries like this one. And I then I realize I can't possibly use the word "hate" when describing wins over the Patriots.
  21. I don't mean to be a total dick, but Memorial Day is for fallen soldiers. We thank the living ones on Veterans Day. I'm not saying living vets don't deserve our respect. The true spirit of today's holiday is intended to reflect on those who have given their lives.
  22. I share your concern. And personnel shifts without a huddle create more confusion for the D, so I'm not sure how that's a solution?
