  1. He's at it again! https://twitter.com/ByTimGraham/status/345297008480886784
  2. Someone here turned me on to Carolla way back in Feb '09, I've been a daily listener since. I've since listened to his show with Dr. Drew. I also catch Dameshek's Football Program. I'll listen to Coach Sal's Bills Podcast from time to time (you may have heard one Gib Tac representing the Bills backers of Chicago in his post-draft show) And, of course, I have my own Bills podcast: Bills and Beers. We've been going strong since 2009. (billsandbeers.com) One that I used to listen to regularly was Dan Carlin's Common Sense. It's a non-partisan (neither Dem nor Rep) political show. It's a fresh thinking show, but his less frequent one, Hardcore History, is GREAT.
  3. I didn't go full-court with the burn because a.) I don't really care enough to, the guy's one of our good players, why disparage that? and b.) because you're one of the good ones. I've said all I have to say on this matter in threads gone by.
  4. Don't bother. Being 11th, 19th and 18th in yards over the last three seasons makes you a football god. And when you're ranked 8th, 25th, and 35th in touchdowns over the same period, you can do no wrong, and so long as your team sucks, you're justified in shirking the organization's suggested offseason training regimen.
  5. I guess 26 is too late in life to hit the gym, after all.
  6. Fractured it filming his workout video, eh?
  7. Yet you're compelled to read and contribute to a thread devoted to said pussified game of touch football.
  8. There has been a lot of speculation that he's grown content/unmotivated after the success of the show. And I know some hard core fantasy/sci-fi readers who won't read or watch the series because they've seen this pattern before: a series intended to be X books long gets popular around book 2 and then just keeps going, and going, and going, and going, and going... They allude to a lot of this in those Atlantic roundtables I've posted her.
  9. I peace'd for about three months because this place devolved into a poop tossing tempest when the season took a dip. Wasn't personal, just intolerable. Exactly. As if an NFL message board ever guarantee anyone anything. Nope. But his performance was nothing shy of epic.
  10. Totally with you. I felt the same way about Lori. (runs and hides)
  11. Tim Graham gets a lot of flack around here because of The Great 2009 TSW Meltdown, and deservedly so. But even for those who didn't bear witness to his behavior then, the ways he's conducted himself in the paper, on Twitter and everywhere else have only reinforced what most of us already knew to be true while introducing everyone else to his intolerable, churlish immaturity.
  12. I'm Joselyn Martinez, and I've just discovered The Internet.
  13. Right. But involving the fan base: great for community relations, TERRIBLE for logo concepts.
  14. Okay, for the purposes of this discussion, that's actually valid. But, now that we have a new r-word, let me freely say, that this whole discussion is retarded. You can offend someone on this planet with just about every sentence you speak. And when everything's offensive, then nothing's offensive.
  15. But seriously: we have competing data here. Some Indians offended. Others not. So it's obviously not as cut and dry as a lot of people in this thread have made it. So...? He's not..? I don't get it. Are you the Injun Monitor now?
  16. And your response to what I posted?
  17. I thought the r-word was "retard?" Actually, it's not. The number of non-Indians championing this cause exceeds the Indians, if I had to take a guess. And it doesn't help anyone's cause that other sects of Indians come out IN SUPPORT of names like these because they help preserve their cultural legacy. They even told redskins.com as much. His words: “We don’t have a problem with [the name] at all," Dodson told the website."In fact we’re honored. We’re quite honored.” “It’s actually a term of endearment that we would refer to each other as," Dodson said. "“It’s not degrading in one bit and that’s why I sent you guys an email." www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A
  18. Listen to Alphadawg on this one, PLEASE.
  19. I think this thread already has all the flames it needs.
  20. Craig Nall...LOL. Google tells me that people who searched for Craig Nall also searched for Kelly Holcombe and Nic Harris. So...
  21. It sounds like the experience of reading the books might be worth while. GOT is one of the few shows I watch in real-time, though. And I think I'd prefer to enjoy the week-to-week 'what's going to happen now' to the book experience. Also, I'm troubled by all the theories that GRRM has no intent/plans/means of actually finishing the 'seven' book series.
