  1. They wouldn't. DTV subscribers (unless they're stupidly rich) prob don't have Internet TV and visa versa. That's the whole point. One is an alternative to the other.
  2. Hmmm...interesting. I guess the difference being Apple doesn't exclusively push MLBTV as the next company to get the ST contract likely will.
  3. ] It's actually $20B I contend that offering it online would open it up to international customers. You don't think between commercial and private-residential customers on the internationa market they could sell products ranging from $10-100 and be able to scrape together $20B? Plus, they would still have to rely on cable companies to provide the ppv service, a service they'd have to pay for too.
  4. Yeah, considering an HD box is a per month charge and DVR is an additional charge on top of that, I'm not entirely sure which decade microscopes is living in...
  5. My favorite part of these is that every man in these videos is having a great time together, in spite of the fact that 50% are quite likely to get cut.
  6. If they were smart, they'd distribute themselves as pay per view, online (directly from them) or through cable providers (and gradually phase that out as everyone's tv comes via Internet over the next five years). Offer economy of scale packages with per game packages, per team packages, per division packages, per conference packages or per league packages.
  7. AMAZING
  8. !@#$ING LOVE IT
  9. Definitely. As I understand it, the theory of relativity supports the notion that energy has no matter and is therefore not constrained to the limits of time and space. I believe that's where the connection lies in acknowledging anything beyond this "life." That's why I dig on it.
  10. Yes, back on topic, because I geek out over content delivery systems (seriously). No way Apple is setup to deliver...
  11. I'm surprised the tinfoil lining his underground bunker doesn't interfere with his internet connection... (I'm assuming a man wrote that)
  12. Specifically the ones that speak English.
  13. Some people watch Maury. Others are into the Bachelor or Survivor, may be even Honey Boo Boo. This is my personal schlock, and these show are like CRACK to me!
  14. It's also clear that: He has a technique problem. These are the best coaches we've had since we drafted him. I'm not saying the math does itself...but it's looking pretty promising.
  15. The "cut him now" posts have done wonders for my Ignore List.
  16. Sorry, gang. I know I plugged this months ago and some asked for a link next time we did an episode, and I forgot to loop you in. We did a quick, no frills episode last week before the Vikings game. I had some issues getting it on Soundcloud, so the episode itself has been less portable than I would prefer. Podbean is the service we use to feed it into iTunes (I encourage to subscribe!), but you can access and stream the ep from here. GO BILLS: http://billsandbeers.podbean.com/
  17. Absolutely not. Through preseason we've seen--in all three phases of the game--what a little coaching can do for talent. This is a chicken vs. egg argument that pops us weekly round here. But in all seriousness, with the exception of a select number of outliers at either end of the spectrum, about 80% of the talent pool in the NFL is roughly the same. So what's the difference between a 2-14 team and a 14-2 team? I'll give you a hint: it aint talent. Talent is something Leodis DOES have. We've always known this. What we haven't had during his tenure thus far: good coaching...until now...hopefully.
  18. I have a feeling McKelvin is poised for a good year as CB2 in Pettine's system. And if Butler or Robey kick him inside, I feel even more confident saying that.
  19. wow, it's almost like some of us have been saying this all along...
  20. Oh, vanilla scheme my foot. Was it Buffalo's vanilla scheme that let Hughes waltz past Kalil like he was standing still? Was it Buffalo's vanilla scheme the forced Sullivan to snap the ball 20 yards past Ponder? Was it Buffalo's vanilla scheme that allowed Dareus to snowplow his man right into Ponder's lap? You line up and you play. May be Allen wasn't trying hard...may be.
  21. I must refute this. While penalties on the defense were aplenty Friday--mostly neutral zone infractions--they were able to hold the Vikings, even with the short field. Also, the PI call on Robey/Butler (can't remember which) was bogus. And we never got to see the replay of the facemask on the kickoff.
  22. I'm thinking he becomes EJ's equivalent of a safety-blanket TE. Good for 7-25 yards every time.
  23. I certainly hadn't realized... Did he even play on Friday?
