  1. For all those saying get rid of him: "From what I understand, someone is saying 'sources.' I would like to know what sources they're talking about before you can say sources," Byrd initially remarked when the report was brought up. "My focus is just on football now, honestly. For this team, my teammates mean the world to me. I don't want to be any distraction to them. We have a big game coming up. We need to be 100 percent on New England, and that's where our focus is at. That's it. That's that." http://www.wgr550.com/Bills--Byrd-responds-to-trade-request-report/17227853
  2. The thin-skinnedness is part of it. The other--MAJOR--part of it is the embarrassing lack of professionalism.
  3. Well, you're right but you're wrong. Yes, it's easy...because his job is to say NOTHING. When you're defending, you're losing. The Bills are perfectly positioned here. Any move would be a bad one.
  4. At least he's consistent.
  5. Best thread in weeks.
  6. First: it's OPM. Second: the Bills are daring him to win the battle/lose the war. Yeah, Byrd wins in the short term, and really the Bills don't win at all. But Byrd would be the true loser in this scenario. So, if the Bills are facing two no-win options, but one of them forces the other guy back to the table...
  7. That's what I was thinking...nowadays they're the size of a twist-tie. See above. Also, then dig up the fields and embed the same technology used during road races every 15 feet...
  8. See Below: RE: above--the article says the sources are other league personnel and an agent not named Parker. So...
  9. What leverage does he possibly have at this point?
  10. Yep. There's absolutely no reason why they can't embed a positioning chip inside the ball, either .
  11. Well, if it's any consolation, I full expect 3 or 4 11-12 yd runs right up the gut on Sunday...because that's kinda just what the Patriots do.
  12. I see. So the Bills did the opposite. That's why I was confused. Oh well, I understand why they did. It's a specialty position. Ask Cleveland.
  13. I'm sorry. Please help me follow.
  14. Right, and that's not what I meant. I just meant that Spiller NEEDS to be the focal point. In last year's NWE games he had 9 and 8 carries. I mean seriously, wtf. I expect him to have 18 carries by the third quarter alone!
  15. So the Bills will pay him through December even if he's gone in mid-September? Pretty aggressive. I was actually wondering today if they'd just give him an incentive laden deal. Like 300K for every field goal he kicks against New England, 100K for every PAT, 75K for every kickoff.
  16. So, one new guy every day (yes, every day ) for the next 274 years or so? Seems doable.
  17. Jesus. Can we play just one friggin snap in 2013 before we worry about player acquisitions in 2014!?
  18. You Only Live Once
  19. And as a consumer, I'd sure want to buy stuff that was legitimately grown rather than stuff that's coming from god-knows-where. A lot of people grow tomatoes in their backyards. Most people don't. It would probably fall under the same principle. I just can't imagine massive illegal farms that would require paramilitary protection being necessary.
  20. You're probably right, but I'm inclined to disagree. If those personal farms were legal, they could always insure them against theft.
  21. So he's going to hand the ball to Spiller, right? Many, many times, right?
