  1. There were a lot of them bb.com, a lot more than usual. Everyone was wearing a tie. Is the latter a Marrone thing?
  2. Jesus, bro. After this thread, nobody will ever question your persistence ever again.
  3. Anyone questioning the "hurry up" needs to watch Eric Wood's press conference: http://goo.gl/kYoJBh
  4. Yeah but Chandler dropped the ball.
  5. You're right, The Bills defense is not perfect.
  6. Freddy: exceptionally good at finding space. CJ: exceptionally good IN space. Summers: a space maker. Seems like a logical fit.
  7. Been meaning to add you to my ignore list. Thanks for the reminder.
  8. There was one play when KW was about to run free to Brady but was straight up wrapped up and tackled from behind. Surely that's not legal, right? Johnnies on the !@#$ing spot for Chandler's "block in the back" though.
  9. two hands to the face penalties against on the bills--one that cost us about 35 yards. zero holds against new england.
  10. Would have been a first down, with the clock running, about 8 minutes to play, in New England territory, helping to set us up for a field goal that would have put us up 4. YEAH, it was a big !@#$ing drop.
  11. It should be noted that CJ carried the ball as many times (17) as he did in BOTH NE games last year (9,8).
  12. Let's revisit this thread after Freddy's first fumble.
  13. Fair enough, but the time between snaps from first to second down was 22 seconds. Spiller's no-gain run couldn't have eaten more than 3 or 4 seconds, meaning the difference we're really arguing here, is--AT MOST--25, MAY BE 30 seconds, IF they would have snapped the ball on second down AS the play clock was expiring. The clock stopped after second down and between 3rd and 4th was :42. So MAY BE they could have milked another 5 seconds, but all in all, this three page argument is not really over any consequential chunk of time. HAHA, well, look who beat me to the exact same point by five minutes. :-)
  14. Point for point, spot on. Also, !@#$ing consider how terrible the defense was last year. Think about week one last year. It's bonkers to say yesterday wasn't a significant improvement.
  15. Was never charged.
  16. I think the difference is, we use(d) the hurry up because it's the tempo we (our rookie quarterback) is used to.
  17. He looked great out there. God, I remember the threads last year when Moorman was cut. Yeesh.
  18. If Stevie makes that grab--again, I don't mean to harp here, but let's be serious--then it's first and ten at the New England 45ish, with about 8 and a half minutes to go and the clock running. One more first down, and they're in field goal range, probably 6 minutes to go. Even if the drive stalls then, they get a decent look at a field goal with about 4 minutes to go. They make that, and New England HAS to score a touch down, something they only did when turnovers put them in the red zone (or damn close. So, even though Spiller's execution on the first down run, and the bad pass on second were poor examples of "execution," under much easier circumstances, simple execution would have made a win much more probable.
  19. The Bills needed at least two first downs on the drive beginning with 5:51 to go. They were up by a single point. Trying to score, trying to run their offense and their game plan was the right thing to do. Execution was just downright lousy.
  20. Fred Jackson served as a great control group yesterday for demonstrating that Hackett was NOT to blame. I mentioned in another thread that seams didn't magically open for FredEx, though someone countered that they did, saying the Pats* keyed on CJ. But from where I sat, execution cost us the game, Freddy helped show that. CJ not finding the gap, penalties and drops, and NOT playcalling, was the difference.
  21. The fact that their only touchdowns were set up by turnovers was very encouraging to me.
  22. Did anyone actually watch the game yesterday between Carolina and Seattle? It looked pretty brutal, and while Wilson moved the ball, he struggled to score. Lynch did a whole lot of nothing too, it seemed.
  23. The defense looks night and day from last year. As expected, the Pats* RB's went right up the gut a couple a times, but that's what they do. On the long run to set up the field goal, Carrington missed him for a four yard loss by about 3 inches. Would have backed them up to 50+ with the clock still running. Would have changed the ending. Not necessarily saying the Bills would have won. But it would have been a lot more interesting.
